Answer:	NO! Usually a very large arm with a cuff too small will read artificially high. Inversely, a very small arm in a larger than desired cuff will read abnormally low. This is true even with a sphygmomameter. Every quality cuff has a size range marked on it. Take a string, or piece of tape--wrap it around your upper arm, relaxed but forearm bent, mark where the tape/string crosses, remove and measure. If within the cuff parameters you are ok. Answer:	When the velcro is worn off, that's what happens. It doesn't hold.

Answer:	Its velcro closure. Iy has a metal clip to hold the manometer during use, but the cuff is so large it flaps over the manoneter awkwardly, i rarely used that. So bottom line, velcro no metal foldy thingy.

Answer:	Unfortunately, the XL cuff is the largest size we make.
Question:	Can this be used on the arm and thigh
Answer:	The cuff that comes with this product is for UPPER ARM use. It is extra large, for someone with upper arm measurement 16-23 inches. However, I used this on someone with upper arm size of 22 inches and it was too big. We ended up buying a large cuff and the doctor said it worked well. This product was NOT meant to be used with a wrist cuff, if was not meant to measure BP through the wrist. If you have a thigh cuff that you like to use on your upper arm due to size, this will work, BUT it was not meant to be used to measure BP through the thigh. Bottom line, this is meant to measure BP using your upper arm, regardless of the size cuff used.

Answer:	No you do not need a stethoscope to obtain a systolic reading. You can easily palpate the blood pressure by using the radial pulse and your fingers. This gives you a systolic reading only. To get a diastolic reading, you need a stethoscope.

Question:	How long is the cuff
Answer:	The entire length is 22inches but it's an adult large meant to fit a smaller 8 1/2 inch are or 16 1/2 inch arm. I've used it on larger arms without any problems, but you would have to get a bigger cuff for obese patients or those with very large upper arms. In those cases I've used this cuff on the patient's forearm listening at the radial artery instead of using a larger cuff. The results are still accurate move the cuff to the forearm in a patient with an overly-large upper arm. I'm quite happy with this cuff and would purchase another one. It fits the majority of my patients

Answer:	No need to run the software. It's all stored on the device. You can measure BP right away. The software is only if you want to get more fancy and do graph and schedules on your computer. I suggest you take several measurements each time and take the mean average. I always do three measurements with my cat and take the avg. ofbthe three. Works pretty good. Makes a difference whether you measure at the paw or the tail. .
