Answer:	My thigh is 19, my knee is 15, my calf is 14. I purchased a small. I am 65 and do not have a lot of muscle mass in my thigh. The small works great for me. I would suggest a medium if you have good muscle mass in your thigh.

Question:	can i use this after an acl Reconstruction surgery to walk
Answer:	I would imagine that your surgeon would want you in a custom brace to wear for a while after surgery. Once the critical post-surgery period is over you may be able to use this brace which has a hinge that is designed to prevent the knee from hyper-extending. I wear this brace on my unrepaired knee while playing tennis and after the clunky ones I used to wear, this has been so much lighter yet just as effective.

Answer:	The size you order should be based on the size of your knee and legs, and not to accommodate pants. The Velcro tabs do allow some room for pants but not a lot. I wear them over leggings and they work fine. They do come with a compression sleeve to go under each brace.
