Answer:	i bought the large size as recommended by my friend and it works fine. my leg is large and it fit with extra room to fit a larger person. this was invaluable for my knee surgery recovery. unless this is for a small person, the large should work.

Answer:	When the jug is below the knee, the water drains into the jug. The jug is full of ice, the water cools, and you raise the jug above the knee, and the cuff fills with ice water. Then you can disconnect the hose from the cuff and walk around.

Answer:	It does come with a cuff. I bought one and was very disappointed. Not very good at keeping cold. Don’t waste your $!

Answer:	No, it doesn’t ice the back of the knee - only the front and part of the sides. There is no reason it couldn’t be rotated to where the ice portion of the cuff is on the back. But you would have to keep the knee fully extended for that to work.

Answer:	The bottom of the boot is pretty much all Velcro and doesn't get filled with ice water, so doesn't do a great job of icing for plantar fascia. It does do a great job icing the Achilles' tendon area and all other parts of the ankle.

Answer:	The largest part of my calf measures 15" around and these socks were very stretchy and comfy on me. Sometimes they stretched out so much that they slid down to my ankles if I didn't have my boot on over them. I imagine they would stretch at least another 3 to 4 inches comfortably. Just guessing. You could always return them. I haven't found anywhere else to buy them, except online. You know they are not compression socks, right? Just a comfy sock to wear inside a surgical boot.
