| Answer: | Did you using kosher salt and rubbing alcohol? This is how to clean: Block the hole on one end (I use saran wrap and rubber band) then fill with salt and then the alcohol, then blocking the hole with your finger or using saran wrap pulled tight across a few time then secured with a rubber band, shake it vigorously for a few minutes. The salt helps to scrub away the residue. After it is cleaned well with salt/alcohol mixture, use hot water to rinse it out very well. Before rinsing I also use something to scrape away any little bits of residue that didn't come off with the salt/alcohol cleaning (I use turkey pin or bamboo skewer.) Then rinse out very well using hot water. Then you can air dry, but I don't always want to air dry, so when I need to dry it right away I cut a strong paper towel strip or even thin strips of cloth. I also sew a little sord at tge top of cloth so I can pull out if can't get top of cloth. Then I thread the cloth into the hole by twisting the cloth to wind down it down inside. Be careful not to let the very end of cloth go inside as you will need to pull it out. Carefully try to twist around the cloth to dry the inside then pull out. If done right it should work to completely dry it quickly. Well hope that helps you keep it clean! |
