The wraps (and their content) will be kept perfectly! Be careful not to fold or unfold them while frozen, or it may damage the wax coating. Also, don't use it to store raw meat!

Are the natissy reusable beeswax food wraps sticky?

There is a slight 'sticky' feeling, but it fades with use. Plus, if they are a little bit sticky, it is easier to wrap food inside. Other beeswax wraps on the market are not sticky at all in the beginning, so they are even more useless in a couple of months (they won't stick, when you wrap the food inside). We look at the usability first. Even if there's a sticky feeling in the beginning, it won't stay on your fingers.

How long do natissy beeswax wraps for food last? Is there a way to restore them?

​With proper care, natissy bees wax wrapscan be washed and reused for up to one year, while using them frequently. To restore the cracks on the wrap, finely grate the provided wax block over the wrap. Place it between two sheets of the baking paper included in the kit. Place it in a pre-heated oven at 302°F for 5 seconds. Push hard with your hands all over it, so it distributes evenly. Ensure that you this quickly and remove the baking paper as soon as possible!

Can beeswax food wraps be composted once they wear out?

While the natissy beeswax wraps are made of only natural ingredients, we would suggest you rather dispose of them along with your other fabric waste, since the fabric will compost much slower than other contents of your household compost. Answer:	As long as you store the beeswax wraps in room temperature. you can either fold or laid the wraps flat.

Answer:	So I have tried different companies. You get what you pay for. These are one of the cheaper sets. The fabric is like a cloth. The more expensive wax papers are more like canvas. These will work, they will break down faster. I apparently only have harsh soap. Dawn, and biokleen is what I have. I just know to barely use any soap. Only cold water and not to scrub too hard. If your careful it can last months. The more expensive will last a year. I wrap my onions or avocado in a paper towel or parchment paper before wrapping in the cloth. Can beeswax covers be used in the microwave?

No, beeswax wraps can't be microwaved as it would melt the wax and consequently ruin them. They are unsuitable for wrapping hot foods; keep them away from heat sources like hot water, oven, microwave, dishwasher, etc.

How do you store natissy reusable wraps for food when not in use?

First, make sure they are kept out of direct sunlight. Store them in the convenient natissy tube packaging for the next use – they will look incredibly stylish in your kitchen. When you have guests over, the compliments won’t be about the food alone!

Can the beeswax paper be washed?

Gently wash the beeswax wraps with lukewarm or cold water (NOT hot water!!!). You may add a drop of mild, natural detergent. That’s absolutely safe, just be careful to keep them away from heat sources like hot water, oven, microwave, dishwasher, etc. Dry them on a natissy drying rack and store in the convenient natissy tube packaging for the next use.

Can wax food wraps be frozen – to store food in the freezer or refrigerator?

Yes, the natissy beeswax wraps are perfectly fine to store leftovers in the freezer or refrigerator. Simply warm the wraps in your hands, then wrap the item you wish to store in a tight seal. The wraps (and their content) will be kept perfectly! Be careful not to fold or unfold them while frozen, or it may damage the wax coating. Also, don't use it to store raw meat!

Are the natissy reusable beeswax food wraps sticky?

There is a slight 'sticky' feeling, but it fades with use. Plus, if they are a little bit sticky, it is easier to wrap food inside. Other beeswax wraps on the market are not sticky at all in the beginning, so they are even more useless in a couple of months (they won't stick, when you wrap the food inside). We look at the usability first. Even if there's a sticky feeling in the beginning, it won't stay on your fingers.

How long do natissy beeswax wraps for food last? Is there a way to restore them?

​With proper care, natissy bees wax wrapscan be washed and reused for up to one year, while using them frequently. To restore the cracks on the wrap, finely grate the provided wax block over the wrap. Place it between two sheets of the baking paper included in the kit. Place it in a pre-heated oven at 302°F for 5 seconds. Push hard with your hands all over it, so it distributes evenly. Ensure that you this quickly and remove the baking paper as soon as possible!

Can beeswax food wraps be composted once they wear out?

While the natissy beeswax wraps are made of only natural ingredients, we would suggest you rather dispose of them along with your other fabric waste, since the fabric will compost much slower than other contents of your household compost. Just an idea – once they are worn out, they are perfect to light a fire in your fireplace and make a great garden torch too!
