Answer:	hi, you need butane gas in the aerosol can. i have gasone 5x. on the bottom of the lighter there is an adjustment wheel for height of flame. it is black. as you look at the bottom of the wheel you will see a small hole in the middle of it. this is the filler valve. holding the butane can upside down quickly press the nozzle against the valve. there may be some leakage until you get the correct angle. this gas will be very cold so avoid prolonged skin contact. when you have a good seal the gas will flow until the lighter is full. i do not know if the following is recommended practice but it works for me: i place the lighter in the freezer for 5-10 minutes before i fill it. this seems to allow it to fill more completely. i hope this helps.

Answer:	Make sure there is no wax stuck at the tips. I just found that there were 2 wax balls that I needed to clean off. It seemed that when I try and light certain wicks, the wax gathers at he connection where the lighter arcs. That fixed it for me. Good as new!

Question:	Why is it not charging
Answer:	This product seems to have some common electrical flaws.. you will most likely need to replace it. You can try flipping the switch to "on", draining the battery all the way down, then immediately recharging it.. Lio don't like to be fully depleted, but it could reset it. Incidentally, Lio don't like to be kept fully charged as another responder stated; 80% is better for them, but 100% is better than discharged.

Answer:	The arc area is tiny, and you have to keep your hand stable so that light a candle quickly. Maybe it will just take more practice.

Answer:	It has an on off switch and you have to actually put your finger between the small gap in order to cause any damage. Other than those features there is nothing specific noted as a child safety feature.

Answer:	Just like a regular lighter, you can't really just light a log directly with this and expect it to burn. But if you do use some kindling or newspaper and build a "log cabin" log set up (or whatever you prefer) - you will have no problem getting the logs to light. This will light newspaper instantly and light kindling just as well as a normal lighter. Honestly, I would say it works better because you can use it from any angle and hold it down easier.

The Zippo timeline begins in the early 1930s, at the Bradford Country Club in Bradford, Pennsylvania. Mr. Blaisdell watched a friend struggle awkwardly to use a cumbersome, Austrian-made lighter. In late 1932 Mr. Blaisdell decided to reconstruct the Austrian lighter. He fabricated a small rectangular case and attached a lid with a hinge. He preserved the chimney design which protected the flame. The result was an attractive lighter that was easily operated with one hand. The name “Zippo” was created by Mr Blaisdell.

How To Refill and Use ?

Step 1:

Turn the lighter upside down and rotate the gas valve to lowest.

Step 2:

• Choose any butane gas brand (Ronson, Blue Flame, etc.) that has the long universal filling tip and insert the canister tip. ( Please note: not use short filling tip.)
• Refill for 10 ~ 15 seconds，wait about 5 ~10 min.

Step 3:

• Push the ignition button to get flame. The you can lock the little button to get continuous flame.
• Please try not to ignite the lighter for long time ( more than 15 secs ), or will reduce the operation life.

Answer:	No, it does not arrive fueled.
Question:	My new insert lights up but the flame never lasts for more than half a second and just gone. Why is that happening
Answer:	I have the single torch insert and had almost the same issue, my flame would last maybe 2 seconds then go out. I was all set to return it, but I thought maybe it needs a good purge? It wouldn't hurt to try, so i vented the insert completely, waited a couple seconds and vented again and repeated this process until i couldn't hear any more pressure venting off. I then filled with the same butane canister I had already been using (not the high-priced Zippo butane, but Vector 14, which has never given me any problems). Just like magic - it works like it should now, and has ever since (at least 15 refills later). Long story short: Vent it completely, vent it some more, vent it again until no more butane/inerts/whatever gasses off and refill - it fixed my hard-to-light, short-burning-flame insert. Very happy with the single torch. I've also got the double torch, not so pleased with it - i got it to act like it should after purging, but the dual flames burn through the butane faster. Why, I'd bet it's almost twice as fast.
Question:	Do I need to use zippo brand butane or can I use another brand such as Newport
Answer:	Newport is the purest butane widely available. You definitely won't have any trouble with it. Vector has the best detergents in it. You can't go wrong with either. If Ronson is a recommended brand, you shouldn't have any trouble with any brand (Ronson is the dirtiest butane I've ever used). That being said, I recommend Neon 750. There isn't a better bargain butane. It's about 250% the size of regular butane cans and costs $3 and change... Fantastic deal

About the Double Torch Butane Insert

Zippo's new lighter insert collection including, this Double Torch Butane Insert, provides a new flame for the classic design. Some of the features include: a soft-touch ignition that allows for quick and easy lighting, all metal construction that provides a perfect fit for any regular size Zippo insert. The insert comes packaged in a Zippo 'one box'. Lastly, the reusable design helps to limit waste.

Step 1: How to Fill

All Zippo Butane Inserts will be packaged and shipped unfilled. To start filling, remove Zippo insert from either the packaging or lighter case. When removing places on either side of the insert below the chimney. Be sure to flip the insert into an upside-down position. Be sure to fill or refill in a well-ventilated place, and always keep the insert or lighter away from face.

Step 2: How to Fill

Once the lighter is upside down, place the butane fuel nozzle into the filling valve, located at the bottom right hand side of the insert. Refill the insert for 6 seconds.

Please wait an additional two minutes after filling to use the insert.

Flame Adjuster

An adjustable flame dial on the end of the Insert lets you easily control the flame height, providing extra flame height when needed.

Flip butane insert upside down, use a paper clip or a dime to twist the screw left or right. The positive and negative sign will indicate a larger or smaller flame.
