User questions & answers
Question: | How do you squeeze out water from the Lysol twist mop |
Answer: | It’s so interesting to me how many ordinarily intelligent humans have trouble wring these kind of mops out. That’s why I looked at the comments to see who was complaining about how to use the mop! No worries. As a former professional housekeeper and organizer, I only use this kind of mop. Swiffer’s are cute and smell great but they’re glorified baby wipes for the floor. Sponge mops just squish the dirt to a different spot. So what’s left but a good old-fashioned string mop! But this kind is easier to use. You get the mop all hot, wet, and soapy. Then you PULL the mop up the stick and twist as you pull.....you may hear a clicking noise that means it’s wringing out the excess liquid and getting you ready to mop! Yay! When you’re done pick up your mop unwind it let it hang loose and free and then put it back in that soapy water! Give it some swishes and you’re ready to pull up the handle/stick and twist and wring again!!!!!!! |
Question: | Can you remove the mop head and put in washing machine |
Answer: | YES it's great. The pole through the mop head unscrewed from the bit of sponge in the tip of the mop and washes nicely. Then just air dry. |
Question: | Is the a mop tall or small |
Answer: | Total length is about 48”-49”, which is fine if you are a younger person about 5’5” or less. I am 5’9” and a senior age, it is in very uncomfortable to mop my whole kitchen floor with because I have to bend over much more than with a Quickie Mop, which is 7”-8” longer. Im switching back to a Quickie Mop!!! |
Question: | Why do you need to twist it ? How do you twist it as shown and for what purpose |
Answer: | Like most “string mops” you get the mop all sudsy, hot and wet, then you pull up on the handle (stick) and as you’re pulling you’re twisting! And that wrings all the extra water out and you’re ready to mop mop mop away! Think of a wet rag you’re TWISTING to wring the water out of..... |
Question: | Can this mop head go in the washer |
Answer: | Yes but I have not put it in the washer. I would do it with towels. |
Question: | Does this mop screw on to mop handle |
Answer: | yes, replacement heads can be purchased as well. Best mop I've ever owned |
Question: | Is mop head threaded and screws onto mop handle |
Answer: | It is threaded and replaces mop head on Lysol mop. Not sure if it is 3/4” |
Question: | Can this mop be use with bleach or vinager? Can if go into the wash with bleach or vinager? I |
Answer: | I use ammonia and water to mop floors. Vinegar would work; bleach that is cut with water would work as well. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can I add bleach to the cleaning goop, I mean solution...? Thank you |
Answer: | Generally we don’t recommend using bleach. It tends to rust the handles pretty quickly. If you want to disinfectant your floors, you can use a combination of lemon juice and vinegar for a gentler disinfectant. A few drops of tea tree oil+ water is another natural disinfectant as well. If you do use bleach, use a small amount in your mop water, and make sure to dry the handle thoroughly after use as bleach is corrosive to steel. |
Question: | The description says this mop is for lighter messes. Does that mean it's not good for whole house weekly mopping |
Answer: | The Libman Wonder® Mop is great for both light messes and regular household mopping. The Libman Tornado Mop® is perfect for more heavy duty and deep cleaning applications in the home. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can this be used on laminate plank flooring |
Answer: | Lysol Clean & Fresh Multi-Surface Cleaner is safe for laminated surfaces, however, because floors are tongue and groove call the manufacturer of the floor to determine if product can be added to the water that will be used to damp mop the floor. |
Question: | Does it have to be diluted or I can just spray and rinse. Is gloves required |
Answer: | It says right on the bottle it kills gems even when diluted, but I'm guessing you're referring to certain surfaces so best to ask the manufacturer to be sure being some surfaces is better to be diluted. Like many disinfecting cleaners, it will only kill bacteria/viruses as stated IF you use it full strength. READ THE BOTTLE ON THE BACK. Although this one it says right on the front that it kills germs even when diluted it's always best to still read the back label to make sure because some bold claims on the front of products are not as it seems. In cleaning products like this it usually says it'll kill germs effectively IF used full strength (aka NOT diluted) so take the time to READ the label to be sure. |
Question: | is the floor sticky once the lysol clean and fresh dries? i usually use white vinegar and water with a little dish soap |
Answer: | I have wood floors and use a cleaner specifically for wood floors. I use the Lysol for the bathroom floor and it doesn't dry sticky. The smell says fresh and clean. |

Question: | Why can’t i add anything to my grocery list now? the only option is alex solis i don’t want alexa i don’t have alexa |
Answer: | It is possible to recover (or rebuild ) your grocery lists. But you have to do it Amazon's way. First recognize that you generally can't add to grocery lists directly from an item page because the only "ADD TO LIST" pop-ups are for the "WISH" lists or "DASH" buttons. There is no longer an "ADD TO (Pantry) LIST" pop-up on Pantry item pages (Prime Pantry no longer exists)! What you CAN do, however, ONCE YOU NEWLY ORDER AN ITEM, is to find the item's control icon in your "PAST PURCHASES" list INSIDE the display that is accessed thru the Sub-Menu Bar named **Your Pantry Lists** in "Pantry." [**NOTE** This is not the "Your Past Purchases" in "Pantry" but rather the horizontal menu within "Your Pantry Lists" in "Pantry." Got that? No? Then you'll have to stumble thru it as I did -- No apologies here.] Summarizing: Trick #1 is to find "Your Pantry Lists" in "Past Purchases" in "Pantry;" then Trick #2 is to find "Your Pantry Past Purchases" within "Your Pantry Lists" in "Past Purchases" ... etc. or wherever the hell they put it that week; then finally: Trick #3 is to find within that horizontal list the item icon, which (as of 8/7/20) will have either: (A) a familiar "Add to List" menu button, or, (B) an old PP-style "MOVE" option to move (i.e., add) the item to a Pantry list. [Also, it could maybe help to become more familiar with the 'horizontal-triple-lines' icon in the upper left of your screen next to the 'amazon prime' logo, as well as the entire "Amazon Pantry" sub-menu.] Once again, users find ourselves struggling to somehow keep Bezos the world's richest man in spite of his company. |
Question: | Can they be used to clean toddlers toys if they are teething |
Answer: | Yes, Lysol® Disinfecting Wipes can be used on toys but they must be rinsed with clear water after. |
Question: | Can it be used for refrigerator glass shelves |
Answer: | Label on back of the product says "Refrigerator Exterior". |
Question: | Can I reserve lysol wipes when you get them in |
Answer: | Given the rapid spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the US, our top priority at this time is increasing our production to help curb the spread of illness. We are experiencing unprecedented and accelerated demand for our Lysol products, and this demand is clearly having an impact on store inventory levels. Our teams are actively working around the clock to increase production and delivery to our retailers, with the goal to maximize access to our products. As demand remains high, we recognize that it may be difficult to locate some specific products that you may be looking for. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding. |

Product description
Our clothes are in constant contact with bacteria throughout our day-to-day activities, for example through contact with contaminated surfaces, other people and our own bodies. Bacteria can spread from one fabric to another in the laundry basket, from the washing-machine drum to the next load. Some these bacteria can survive a wash cycle and can cause potential infection risk with pathogenic bacteria. When it comes to certain laundry loads such as children's clothes or sportswear, you want your detergent to eliminate bacteria that can cause illnesses and create lingering bad smells. But detergents alone don't actually kill all bacteria. Introducing Lysol Laundry Sanitizer, an additive specially designed to kill 99.9% of bacteria left behind. Simply add Lysol Laundry Sanitizer to your rinse cycle. It does not contain any bleach and even works in cold water so is safe to use on most fabrics including whites, colors and darks.
- Kills 99.9% of bacteria & odors, simply add to your rinse cycle
- Contains 0% bleach, works even in cold water
- Gentle on most fabrics including whites & colors
- Works in all standard and HE machines
- Suitable for use on baby clothes, gym clothes, undergarments, towels, bedding, delicates
User questions & answers
Question: | Is there any evidence that this will kill yeast, such as candida |
Answer: | No that’s fungal and this stuff only kills 99.9% of bacteria like Staphylococcus Aureus & Klebsiella pneumoniae. So to the short answer is no. |
Question: | It sounds like some stop the rinse cycle for 15 min., and others don't. Can manufacturer clarify please |
Answer: | I'm not the manufacturer but if the product is in contact with what you're sanitizing for 10 minutes it's supposed to kill 99% of viruses and bacterias according to manufacturer. I just put it in the wash cyle which runs 15 minutes. I've worked housekeeping in a nursing home and that's what we do to clean also |
Question: | How can i use this product on a coin operated/he/lid locking top load machine with no fabric softener compartment. Any suggestions |
Answer: | Lysol Laundry Sanitizer would go into the bleach compartment in your coin-operated washing machine, not the fabric softener compartment. I hope this helps to answer your question. |
Question: | In the description it says to "leave it in the rinse cycle for 16 minutes." Is anyone doing this |
Answer: | Yes, but each machine is different. When I start my laundry, I make sure to select Deep Rinse in my GE (model GTW220ACK2WW) washer. If I am doing a regular large or super load, from the time I start the process, it takes about 24 minutes for my washer to go from the Wash cycle to Rinse. When it goes into Rinse, it unlocks the lid and I add this laundry sanitizer. BUT, then I set a timer on google for 12 minutes. When the timer beeps, I close the lid and the machine continues to rinse and it gets about 16 minutes. The reason I use the timer is because if I forget about it while the lid is opened, after 15-20 minutes (I cannot remember exactly how long but it's why I chose 12 minutes), the stupid machine will drain itself and I have to do a wash cycle again because I cannot do rinse alone. Anyway, hope this helps. |

Introducing Lysol Laundry Sanitizer
When it comes to certain laundry loads such as children's clothes or sportswear, you want your detergent to eliminate bacteria that can cause illnesses and create lingering bad smells. But detergents alone don't actually kill all bacteria. Introducing Lysol Laundry Sanitizer, a bleach-free additive specially designed to kill 99.9%* of bacteria left behind while remaining gentle on most fabrics.

When are Bacteria Encountered?
Our clothes are in constant contact with bacteria throughout our day-to-day activities, for example through contact with contaminated surfaces, people and our own bodies. Bacteria can also spread from one fabric to another in the laundry basket, from the washing-machine drum to the next load, and even from our hands when handling wet clothes which have just been washed.
How Do Bacteria Cause Odors?
Sweat itself does not have an odor, but when we sweat the bacteria living on our skin break down the sweat molecules causing unpleasant smells. We can mask these odors with fabric conditioners, but when the fragrancing technology of such products wears off, the bacteria can still remain and continue to produce bacterial malodors. To combat these lingering smells, odors must be eliminated at the source by killing the odor-causing bacteria.
Is Washing Alone Not Enough?
Some bacteria from food, the body or other sources can survive a wash cycle. As well as when you wash clothes like delicates at lower temperatures, bacteria & other germs can survive and transfer between garments in wash. Potential infection risk with pathogenic bacteria include athlete’s foot, fungal nail. You can continue washing at low temperatures and still be assured that 99.9%* of bacteria are eliminated by simply adding Lysol Laundry Sanitizer.
Step 1: Dosing
For standard machines: Fill 2 capfuls to line 1 of the dosing cup.
For HE machines: Fill 2 capfuls to line 2 of the dosing cup.
Step 2: Pour into Machine
Add two capfuls to the fabric softener compartment at the start of laundry cycle.
If machine does not have a fabric softener dispenser, wait until rinse cycle and add directly to drum of machine.
Step 3: Laundry is Sanitized in Rinse Cycle
Leave in rinse cycle for 16 minutes.
Clothes come out sanitized killing 99.9%* of bacteria.
