| Answer: | Here's how I have done it for years. Scrub in short strokes with kitchen cleanser until clean, then dry, then rub on a light coat of vegetable oil and wipe with paper towel. Be very careful near the edge. Grip the knife handle and place the blade flat against the counter surface and carefully scrub the blade with Comet, Ajax or similar kitchen cleanser and a splash of water. A wine cork or a metal scrubbie is useful for this. Keep your fingertips away from the cutting edge of the knife. |
