The cheaper way to do so is to buy a Philips UVC germicidal lamp, which can kill bacteria and virus effectively (UVC is harmful to skin and eyes). I bought one for US$25 in Hong Kong. |

I assumed this was to prevent leaking during transport. 128 ounces is a lot of bleach to deal with if the cap should come loose during shipping. The Clorox Clean-up that I received smells just like the Clorox Clean-up that I purchase at the supermarket, so I assume that it is the same product. Read the label of this product to determine whether you can use it full strength or if it needs to be diluted, depending on whether the label is blue or green. Hope this helps. |

It will corrode or destroy most metals, react with acids, peroxides, and many other chemicals to produce toxic chlorine gas. Bleach will dissolve paper, cloth, and many other organic materials. Even in the 5% household strength, bleach is still a potent oxidizer and disinfectant with very high alkalinity. Quat is the common name for quaternary ammonium chloride compounds of which there are about 300 varieties all with varying anti-microbial efficacies.
