Answer:	I have been using this the last 3 years on my cushions on my deck furniture. They are white and still look like new after owning them for 6 years! I used the regular scotchgard until I discovered this heavy duty version. Here is my procedure, at the end of the season I remove covers and wash them in the washing machine and dry in dryer. I store them for the winter. In the spring, I get them out and insert the pillow and cushions in the covers and spray vertically and horizontally on both side. I let them dry then spray them again. My dog has even peed on the cushions and it rolls off with no residue. Great stuff! I purchased my deck furniture with cushions at World Market. Not sure if they are olefin.

Answer:	I also wanted to add that Bissell says this is fine in the portable machines but should not be used in proportions based on the marks on your tanks. I did a little math and figured the ratio to be more like 1/2 oz for the small marks (based on 16 oz of water for the small mark) and 1 oz of fluid for the large area mark (this is based on that being 32 oz of water). I have the 2694 Bissell. I believe most, if not all of the Bissell portables use this configuration. The uprights have a higher concentration in the solution...equating to 2.5 oz to each gallon or 5 oz per gallon for extra strength. My ratios will give you somewhere in between regular and extra strength.

2. Release a small amount of foam and scrub the stain with the built-in brush. Thoroughly soak the stain to twice the size of the stained area, because the stain may have spread on the backing of your carpet.

3. If necessary, allow the formula one to two hours to work. Repeat as needed until the stain is gone.

4. Blot the area with a wet rag to rinse the treated area.

5. For vomit and feces stains, use paper towels to remove as much of the mess as possible without rubbing the stain in. Work from the outside in to minimize spreading the stain.

Answer:	I don't know why it wouldn't. I recently had my carpets cleaned and the cleaners wanted $50 a room (small bedrooms) to have each room scotch guarded. Infact when they pee on the rug it stays on top of the fabric for awhile & is easily blotted off. There are no stains or smell. We do check under the rug & wipe it clean if the pee goes through but no stain & no smell. Hope that helps.

Question:	one of the reviews said to fill the reservoir to the 2x level I didnt see a 2 X level on my reservoir so how much would I use
Answer:	If your machine is a "2X" machine, then just fill it to the fill line marked on the reservoir. If it's not a "2X" machine, I think you might need to use 1/2 the amount. I would test it and see how it cleans.
