Answer:	Yes definitely. I wear mine for all sorts of hiking as well as work. I spray mine off with a pressure washer!!! These boots are well worth the investment. I want to say mine are different looking than the picture that is with this question. I have brown and purple ones, but i believe this pair is the same fabrics.

I would like to note these are made for women with a wider toe box but with a narrow heel area which is great since your heel as a nice place to sit and doesn't move around. Give them a try I think you will like them. Note: For me these were a little stiff. Just don't lace them as tight as might would like to out the gate, give them just a few days and they fill like you had them forever.

Only con about them is the soft leather. I normally buy a wide shoe. But in these I get a normal since the sides stretch out some. So if you wear a wide get a normal. If you wear a normal you'll be fine.

Answer:	I wear mine all the time. Warm enough for cold weather, but not too warm for warm weather. Obviously not something you would want to wear on the hottest day of the year, though.

I could tel as soon as I put them on with regular socks that they were to narrow and to long. This seems to be the trend that shoe sizes are getting listed as wider but the shoe is a full size narrower then say 20 years ago. 2E should be fine for me nut not I am ordering 3Eand dreaming about shoes that re not to long so that they are wide enough.

Answer:	You're going to want to sun dry them for several hours. Lets say it takes 6 after 3 hours put fabric softner sheets in the front like 2 or 3 each. Also it would be good to wash them. Let them sit in a bucket of warm water with some non damaging soap (use a old toothbrush to clean the nooks and crannies). This process takes 1.5 days one day to clean .5 to dry.

Answer:	I have a wide foot. Usually get a EEE when available. The 10.5 W Moab works great. Went on a 23 mile AT hike with them and was very comfortable. Good ankle support too. I highly recommend

Answer:	If you wear size 13 sneakers, then you definitely want to get size 12.5 AT THE minimum, size 12 will hurt your feet while standing up. Found out the hard way. I've never tried size 12.5 though, only size 12. So 13 would probably be wiser.

Answer:	All Timberland boots arrive waterproof from the factory. It's best to apply 1-2 coats of Timberland's own spray when you first get your boots. I live in New Hampshire and apply 1 coat every fall in advance of winter. NOTE: Mink oil works well on leathers that have not been been waterproofed at the factory. Stick to the spray for Timberland boots.

Answer:	I wore them everyday for 8 straight days on a trip to Glacier National Park. They held up but started to cause foot pain on the long days of steep climbs on hard surfaces. Good boots for the money but there are better pairs that would suit your needs if you were willing to spend more money. These will do but not the best.

Answer:	There is an inner sole. It is an orange, spongy material that is perforated throughout with holes that are spaced about 1/4" apart. That base is covered with a very thin, yellow, plastic mesh. Over time the yellow mesh will detach from the spongy base and will need to be either reattached or removed.

Answer:	I just received mine. I am a true 9.5 womens and was sent a Mens size 8. I just looked at other conversion charts online and they recommend a men's size 7.5 instead. They are snug around my feet, but almost 3/4-1 inch too long. I would recommend at HALF size lower. I use these shoes for kayaking and I don't need any extra length in the toe box for getting in and out of my kayak. Hope this help!

Answer:	I disagree with the previous posts. I used them to hike down a very muddy and rocky trail to a the Queens Bath in Kauai and they were perfect. Tennis Shoes are a terrible idea for hiking. The mesh confirms to your foot and does not irritate or rub. The barefoot feel helped me navigate the rocky terrain; protecting my feet and allowing me to feel the ground beneath me. The holes in the bottom allowed me to rinse the mud out and dry quickly.

• STEP 1: TRACE YOUR FOOT

Place a piece of paper on the ground. If your foot is bigger than a single sheet, make it two.

KEEP THE PENCIL UPRIGHT (at a 90 degree angle) AT ALL TIMES, especially at the heel.

• STEP 2: MEASURE LENGTH

Use a measuring tape, measure the outline from the back/central part of the heel to the end of the longest toe.

⋙TIPS:

1. For foot length, if you are in between sizes, always move up to the next size. For foot width. choose the width that you are closest to.

2. Trust your own comfort level rather than a shoe's size or description. Sizes vary between manufacturers.

3. Size in men's size, for women's size simply add 1.5. IE Men's US 6 would be equivalent of Women's US 7.5.
