Answer:	I'm not sure in a red dot but I run these in my inforce light on a glock 19 and I change and charge mine once a month just to be safe because it's my edc gun. I've never had mine go dead or even low yet. I would think in a red dot even left on all the time would last a long time.

Answer:	I am just shopping for batteries, but in order to charge lithium batteries from a power source, a protection board must be in place to monitor charge and turn on the green light when fully charged. Question:	Is there a discharge curve datasheet available? I want to use these in a product that alarms on low battery
Answer:	Look online. The box indicates a voltage of 1.5 + or - 0.2 V. My use suggests that the voltage remains pretty much the same from start to exhaustion. It doesn't taper off when exhausted, it just stops suddenly. I'm guessing you won't see a low alarm from a device designed for use with alkaline batteries.
