| Answer: | I have mine in the art classroom for more than a month without problems. I wonder if the person whose sharpener broke after 1 month mistook the overheat shut off as a breakage. Mine sharpens very fast and keeps the lead centered... very important when running a fast paced art room of middle schoolers. The last two sharpeners I had each lasted a couple of weeks before showing problems. They also did a poor job of centering the lead of colored pencils. I would recommend this to any classroom teacher. |

| Answer: | mine does not stop the motor but you can clearly hear when the pencil has completed sharpening. starts with a heavy coarse sharpening sound then to just the motor spinning...that's when you stop. takes about 3 seconds on a new pencil. really sharp and pointy every time. my 8 and 6 year old love it! |
