Question:	Is the handle hollow? Plastic or metal
Answer:	It's plastic with a cap on top. I'd assume it was hollow but it's a great little mop. I use it to clean behind the toilet in the bathroom as it's hard to get to.

Answer:	It is extremely absorbent. So much so that it takes days for it to dry even when hanging freely. The strands are large.
Question:	How long are just the strings
Answer:	The strings are about nine inches long. This is not a kiddie mop. Just a small version of a full-size mop. The strings are as large in diameter as a cheap mop. It's fine for small jobs. But I love my kiddie mop better. I use it to go along corners, baseboards and anything else that needs a damp dusting.

It seems to be good quality wood. The stand is a lot sturdier than I expected it to be. Every child who comes to play at our house has to carry these items around. I would highly recommend
