Answer:	The dirttrap has these cyclones in the bottom that help "pull" the dirt and debris below the dirttap itself. Because of its shape, dirt cannot force its way up through the cyclone and back into the regular water. A normal grit guard, however is shaped like a sewer grate, where everything is sort of free-flowing and stuff can land on your mitt even though you wiped it on the grit guard.

Answer:	It does not go all the way down to the bottom of the orange Home Depot bucket nor the green Menards bucket. It fits snugly about 2 inches from the bottom. It works like this but is difficult to remove from the bucket.

Answer:	This grit guard was made specifically for Chemical Guy's 4.5 gallon bucket. It will not fit a home store 5 gallon bucket perfectly (it will stop about and inch or more from the bottom and if you push it in hard it will be challenging to remove). I found the best bucket for this is an empty drywall mud bucket, which is 4.5 gallons and the same size as Chemical Guy's buckets. You can buy a 4.5 gallon bucket of drywall mud from a home store for about $12.00 vs. Chemical Guy's $17.00 empty bucket.

Answer:	I bought mine in the Spring of 2018, and ironically tried to use it in a Home Depot "Homer Bucket", 5 gallon container. It would not rest on the bottom of the bucket. I was able to position it to be level, but they should redesign this product to fit the generic 5 gal. container.

Answer:	I guess technically you could, if you made sure the bucket was completely spotless and clean before doing so. But that's just extra work and a risk to your paint which is why most proffeaional detailers have a wheels-only bucket. Less hassle of cleaning it out and less risk.

Answer:	You CAN use Diet Coke to, but it doesnt mean you should... The problem with bottled, tap, and spring water is the mineral content. You would just be spraying a fine mist of those minerals onto whatever solid or fabric you are trying to clean. That, and you would also gradually be caking the heating element with minerals that will eventually reduce the efficiency of its ability to heat the water. Better off buying a gallon of distilled water and using that. They only cost about a dollar. Totally worth a buck to keep it running longer and actually removing dirt from what you are cleaning vs sealing it in with minerals. Seriously, a dollar a gallon. So easy and cheap to do the right thing.

Answer:	I am sorry but I have no idea, myvonkyvproblem with the bucket is it arrived a little bent and out of shape, packaging was not that good, but as it was an add on item the cost to send it back outweighed the cost of it. I am using it and it's fine but you can probably find a similar one at target or Walmart or even the dollar store.

Answer:	The outside width of the pail is 11 1/2", the inside opening is 10 1/2 ". The height of the pail is a fraction over 9 inches. The depth of the pail at the top including the spout is a fraction over 11 inches. That includes the rim. The bottom width is 9 inches. The pail is very light weight. I don't know if it will hold up with a full pail of water, given the light handle, but if it only has half a pail full, it may be okay. Hope that answers your question. If not let me know. Mimi

Question:	Did you find that this simple 3-gallon bucket is worth the $18+ spent
Answer:	For me, yes. It fits the Ettore window mop perfectly. I used to use a round bucket and dip each end of the mop into the bucket. It was more time consuming, especially when you have a lot of windows to wash like I do. I am very happy with this bucket. It is very thick and substantial. I know some people may choke at paying this kind of money for a bucket, but in the end I think it is worth it. Also, it fits nicely on the flip out ledge on my 8' aluminum ladder.
Question:	What is the inside measurement of the short side of this bucket
Answer:	The damn bucket is too small only 14.5 inches at the bottom. I am unhappy with the small sixe of this "supper bucket". I still have to use an old cooler with handle.

Answer:	Although the sponge part of the unit will fit inside the bucket, the squeegee part of the unit is actually wider than the sponge. The squeegee removes with the click of a button and reattaches, but the whole unit will not fit into the bucket. Big disappointment for something that was suppose to fit and make life easier. This overpriced bucket would barely be worth the money if it was a good fit. Definitely not worth the money.
