Answer:	I think this could be, depending on the power of the laser, of course. The metal finish seems to me that it would take the engraving relatively well. However, I have no direct experience with this, so you may wish to experiment with a location on the urn first.

Answer:	The industry standard size for a single adult urn is around 200 cubic inches, which will generally hold any individual who weighed 200 lbs or under. Rule: 1 pound of healthy body weight generally equals 1 cubic inch of cremated remains. My mom was 120 and we had A LOT of room.

Answer:	maybe 1/2"? it's not very thick. but it's sturdy, plenty thick enough for its purpose.

Answer:	I threw away the plastic box, mine came in a plastic bag also, I put the plastic bag in the urn. It almost didn’t fit, we were able to keep the ashes in the bag. I could have gotten an extra large.

Answer:	YES, metal containers are not. Just so you know, the TSA HAS to swab the outside of the container for chemicals. They CANNOT open the container however. So far my experience is they are extremely mindful of what they are doing and to the person carrying the remains.

Answer:	I’m not sure where this urn was made. But I can tell you that it’s very well made and is sturdy, beautiful engraving and most suitable for my husband.

Answer:	I will try to answer your question to the best of my understanding. I am assuming that you mean 240 pounds? My husband was about 200 at the time of his death. When I chose the urn, I guessed at the size. Of course, the style was a separate issue. The only thing I had to go on was the box that contained his ashes was about 9"x5"x4". The funeral director moved the ashes from the box to the urn for me. The urn is very beautiful and representative of my husband's service in the Navy during the Vietnam war.
