Question:	Would this work to drown out barking dogs in the neighborhood
Answer:	It depends on how close and loud the dogs are. I have used one of these since I was a kid and your mind focuses on the white noise that it produces and ignores all but the harshest of outside noise. We had a car slam into three parked cars across the street form our home and didn't know it happened until the next day and saw the destruction. It will certainly help.

Answer:	The machine is not up to snuff. The motor goes out and starts squealing after after a few weeks. This machine is a power hog and it doesn't mask sounds well. Old technology. You have better options. Buy a reputable brand and check Fakespot

Answer:	There are two setting for the noise based on if you push the switch up or down. I use the louder setting at night and when I was in college I would use the lower setting when studying to drown out noises. I think it is definitely loud enough. Hope that helps :)

Answer:	Hey, Michelle with Marpac, the official answer is the Hushh has a few features that are baby specific that the Rohm does not have. The two items are both new and introduced this spring. The Hushh locks so baby can't raise the volume and hurt tiny ears. The Hushh also has a night light that the Rohm does not. Further, the Hushh has a clip to go on strollers, carseats, etc. The Rohm has a lanyard. The lanyard is a potential choking hazard on a "baby" item. Answer:	the "Rain" setting has a very definite loop. The showering sound is nice, but then there are about 4 plopping sounds and you hear that repeat about every 6-7 seconds. I found it very annoying. The "white noise" setting has a fairly nice quality, but I would have had to turn it up so loud in order to drown out my husband's snoring that the "white noise" itself would have been too loud for my comfort. It's an ok machine, but if you are sensitive to the looping, this machine will bother you.
Question:	Does this machine emit light (e.g., LEDs) during operation? If so, how bright is it
Answer:	Yes, and I find it very bright. So much so that I have to cover it with something because it illuminates the area next to my bed and around the device. (It's the only thing I don't like about it and I wonder why they put the light on the machine - if the machine is making noise, it's obviously on!) I put a piece of black electrical tape over it.
Question:	Is it possible to run the machine all night, without the auto-off? I am looking for a machine that can run for hours, without having to turn on repea
Answer:	I've never tried running it all night, but I'm pretty sure you can. To select a time limit (15, 30, or 60 minutes), you push a button and the light beside the time lights up, indicating which time has been selected. When I turn my on, none of the timer options are lit up, so I assume that means it will run indefinitely. Hope that helps!

Question:	When I turned this off after one night of use the body was very hot. Is this standard with this model? I am worried about the motor burning out

Question:	Does this have a back up battery that kicks in automatically if the power goes out
Answer:	Hello, Our Dohm Uno does not have a battery back-up, however, we do have several other options that are battery operated that might be the perfect match. Our GO, Hushh or Rohm operate on a rechargeable battery and will continue to run with or without power. Please check out one of these I'm sure you'll find one that will best suit your needs!
Question:	Can this be cleaned? Keeps coming on or off. Possible the something wrong with the button that turns it on
Answer:	(1) There are 4 screws at the bottom of the device, underneath; if you unscrew these 4 screws, you might be able to access the device on the inside and gently clean the components that have gathered dust and other deposits from the air that it's "processing"; (2) If the plastic cover on top just "snaps-on," and is removable, then you might be able to access inside of the device from the top in that manner. I have not cleaned it myself; mine is brand-new and I have just begun to use it. My recommendations come only from eyeing the device externally, and am not privy to its internal components assembly or electrical functioning. I am only assuming that its primary component is a fan whose air-flow or "wake," provides "the sound," as it goes through the slots or holes all along the circumference of the device's dome structure. I hope these 2 above suggestions help you access the switch to somehow remove the dust or lent that might be clogging its proper functioning or that might impair the "electrical contacts" that cause it to "switch on." Answer:	I use it before bed and before working out; it says to use it twice a day. I like it and my sister tweaked her back an I put it on it and she said it helped a lot.
