I wouldn't trust storing them in just the clear bags they come in because over time air can get in. I store my original sealed bags of o2 absorbers in either jars or a sealed Mylar bag.

Answer:	2 Liter plastic bottles will not protect from oxygen passthrough in long term food storage scenarios. You might consider a container with less oxygen passthrough. Glass or mylar bags. 300cc bags are recommended for a gallon so a 200cc bag is likely a better fit for a 2 liter bottle.

Answer:	A five gallon bucket contains 18,927.06 cc (ml) of volume. The listed size of the packet is the volume of oxygen that will be absorbed by the packet. But, remember oxygen is only about 1/5 the volume of air, so you don't need to absorb that full volume (if you did, you would need 9 2000ml packets), and your product would also take up volume, though that is trickier to measure. Not taking into account product volume, two 2000ml packs should more than absorb the 3880ml of oxygen in an empty bucket. One could assume that the product would replace half that volume (beans use less volume than rice, e.g.), but two should give a comfortable margin of safety in case they don't live up to specs anyway.

Question:	Has anyone had issues these bags not staying air tight when sealed? Mine seem to let air sneak back in
Answer:	If you have a vacuum sealer, what most people do, they take out what they need, then divide the rest into bags of 10 and seal each bag with the vacuum sealer. If you don't have a sealer, you can fold the bag over several times, as tight as you can, and use a strong tape like duct tape to seal it real well. Scotch tape won't work.
Question:	Are the packs individually wrapped? I will only need 2 at a time, so what do I do to keep the remaining ones viable until I need them
Answer:	no they are bulk packed if you use thes i would recomend small cut in corner take out what you need and vacuum bag and reseal

Answer:	As long as the eye still has pink they should be good. If the package is vacuum sealed like it should be the packages should be hard, but if you open the outer vacuum sealed package the best way to confirm your oxygen absorbers are fresh is to feel them. They will feel like fine powder is inside as opposed to hard and crunchy when exposed.
Question:	How do you store once opened? I put them in a glass sealer jar and they started to condensate and got hot
Answer:	I place them in a Mason Jar with lid and then seal it with my Food Saver. It works great. If I don't seal it, then it does get hot.

Answer:	That’s one of the things I used it for was flour but I have not opened it up it’s been six months I want to wait a year to see if it works. Freeze the flour for two days first though I know that.

Question:	I am looking for something to keep oxygen out of my reloading powder when it is in the hopper. Can this be used? And just how hot can it get
Answer:	It would take the oxygen out but not any moisture. Also unless you vacuum sealed or at least heat sealed the bag your powder is in each time you opened it. Then the oxygen packet will consume it's limit and crystallize and stop absorbing oxygen.but as I said it's only purpose it absorbing oxygen. What you want is desicant bags, they absorb moisture. I'm no expert so this is just my opinion.😁

Question:	Can oxygen absorbers withstand canning temperatures
Answer:	You can use oxygen absorbers in dry canning but I would not use them for moist canning. They are designed to use with dry goods and not moist.
Question:	How do I keep the oxygen absorbers that I'm not using fresh? It looks as though if I open the bag of 100 they'll all be exposed to air
Answer:	Hi Patsy: Yes, you do need to limit their exposure to air and reseal the OAPs you are not using. It's good practice to expose them for less than 10 minutes, but it is nothing to be stressed about as it would take a few hours to completely deplete the OAP. Also, ours come with a security buffer to allow for processing time and they will absorb a minimum of 180% of their stated rating. (a 100cc will absorb at LEAST 180cccs) You can reseal the bag they came in with a vacuum sealer or household iron, but the best way to store unused OAPs is to use a mason canning jar and seal the lid tightly. You can reuse the indicator and watch it turn pink again - but it can take quite a while sometimes. Don't use any method other than heat-sealing or a mason jar unless you are absolutely sure it will keep oxygen out because oxygen is very sneaky and can make it's way in. Answer:	Don't tear them open they will work. Use one pre container- bags, jars or others types of sealed containers . You must keep these oxygen absorbers sealed in an air tit bag or jar as well, or they will lose their ability to work. So as soon as you have taken out as many as you need - seal them back up ASAP . Question:	How long to they last? Let's say I put one in a one gallon Mylar bag with rice and seal it. will the absorber hold the oxygen indefinitely
Answer:	I have opened a few Mylar bags after a year or so and they have held their vacuum and the food was great. I would have to say that the oxygen absorber had done its job and was still working. I have not had any seals fail on my Mylar bags. The seals on the bags are the key. As far as I know that is the only way that the absorber would stop absorbing oxygen would be if there is a bag seal leak and the absorber is used up trying to contain the leak. I hope this is clear.

Answer:	Heya, thanks for the question. It is the number of CC of oxygen the absorbers will absorb before they stop working. For example, a 300cc absorber is rated to remove 300cc of oxygen from a closed container; this is the same as an empty 1.5 liter container (oxygen is roughly 20% of air, so 1.5 liters x 20% = 300cc). A 500cc oxygen absorber will clear an empty 2.5 liter container of air. In usage terms, a 1 gallon Mylar bag (3.7 liters) filled with rice will usually contain less than a third air (headspace), so maybe 1 liter of oxygen. Thus a 300cc will clear all the oxygen and have a chunk left over. Additionally, all of our products are overweighted, so a 300cc rated oxygen absorber when first opened may absorb up to 600cc total oxygen. This allows you sufficient time to work with it when storing your food.

Answer:	They should be a pink color ranging from dusty pink to bubblegum pink.

Answer:	No they do not need moisture to activate. These are the best absorbers that I’ve ever used. I freeze dried some raw eggs scrambled back in 2017 . I just opened them yesterday and used some and they were absolutely great!! They are so inexpensive sometimes I will just throw to in but it is not needed one is good for up to 1 gallon bags. I’ve put a lot of my stuff in Mason jars just for the mirror back it’s easier to show people because everybody wonders what it looks like. Hope this helps! Answer:	300cc would be fine for a 2-liter bottle but may be hard to fit into the bottle. You may also use (3) 100cc to equal 300cc and they are slightly smaller so they will fit better into the bottle.

Answer:	No but if you have a vacumn packer/foodsaver you can reseal it...you have to be quick though...think within 5/10 minutes max
