These scissors are big and heavy and the blades do not glide, in fact they kind of stick, not to mention making a significantly audible slicing sound, which, if your Maltese is calm around scissors won't be an issue, but with my traumatized kitty, definitely is. In addition, I found the combs to be a cheap plastic that does not run through the hair smoothly. I guess there are enough people who do like this product, I'm just not one of them. It's probably fine for big, generalized work, but I would not recommend it for delicate, minute work. Just my personal opinion. The company sent me their little trimmer scissors for free, when they found out I was not satisfied. Those are pretty useless too. I think you're better off buying a nice little pair of baby scissors, with rounded tips. I will add that the company reimbursed me immediately for the Scaredy Cut scissors when I told them I was not satisfied. That doesn't change how I feel about the product. I'll probably gift it to someone who can use this type of thing, maybe someone with a medium to big size dog who isn't afraid of having their hair trimmed.Hope that helps! |
