Answer:	I know nothing about Therasage but this one is one is ness expensive than most. It does work very well and I love the heat. We had trouble figuring out the controls because the directions are not too complete but Amazon customer service people put me in contact with the company and they solved our problems with it.

If you wanted to take it apart, that could be an issue as it is in so tight.
