They both have the same amount/type of active ingredient and both work well for me to either prevent or stop an emerging cold sore in it's tracks. However, if I don't catch the cold sore early enough DocoSheild not only shortens the cold-sore lifespan, but keeps it moisturized so there is not painful dryness, itching, cracking or bleeding of the cold-sore as it heals. DocoSheild lasts longer, is less messy (not finger based application) and has a pleasant smell/flavor to me. For me, has proven to be a good purchase. My only gripe is price.

Answer:	Most of these are sold as singles and in boxes of 36, not sealed. I bought them that way from the local Whole Earth center for years. But they no longer carry them. Answer:	That depends on how long a person's hair is. For men, you could certainly do 2 treatments. For shoulder length or longer hair, at least 2/3 of the can will be used because you have to saturate the hair.

Answer:	The package says 15 minutes. After we got all her hair saturated, we gave it 20 minutes just to be sure. But you do need to treat again 10 days later. One application didn't do it either time, but twice with the second application 10 days after the first did. Both times she got it at school so maybe she was getting reexposed? Not sure. I just know we had to treat twice.

Answer:	I actually was planning on using it as a first aid ointment. It has ingredients in it that will prevent infection. I use to be a wound care specialist as a Registered Nurse and that nano silver done wonders for many nasty wounds that I treated. I love the shingles cream. In fact I will be a regular customer. Answer:	There is no indication on the container what type of Vitamin A or how much of it contributes to the product.

Answer:	I don't get cold sores but I would say use it every day if you do. L-lysine can help prevent cold sores and comes in a supplement form to boost your immune system!

Answer:	It states it does!!! I rate it a 3.5 out of 5. Which isn't bad. It works to me so far. But there might be something better not sure haven't found anything yet. So i'm still using this until then.
