Answer:	The druggist at our pharmacy advised me to keep my head upright and sniff as I spray. It's more of a squirt than an actual spray, though -- the top of the bottle is a pump.

Question:	Is this for kids
Answer:	I little bit goes a long way. I wouldnt use it all the time on olds. And maybe test a patch on their wrist for a couple hours fiest to make sure there is no allergic reaction. But it does not burn at all and no harsh smell. I would make sure an adult applys a small amount on a q tip and then applies it for little ones, kids a bit older I'd hand them the q tip supervised. But of course always consult your pediatrician.

Answer:	This made my nose burn horribly and my eyes water. I tried to blow my nose because it hurt so bad, but I mostly had to wait for the burning to stop, which took about 30 minutes. When I read the description, I was under the impression that it would “soothe” and “relieve discomfort.” Because it says its non-medicated, saline gel with aloe vera, I didn’t expect the horrible burning. I’d rather live with the discomfort of a dry nose for the rest of my life than use this gel ever again.
Question:	How deep can it be put in my nose? Doesn't bloody nose in morning start from deep in nose and not just around outer edge
Answer:	You can go almost an inch deep. If you are getting frequent bloody noses, see an ENT, who may cauterize the spot that is bleeding. Also, the ENT might prescribe Bacitracin 2%. Used twice a day for 10 days, it may clear up the problem. To stop a bleed, use Afrin (or generic) saturated on a kleenix rolled up in the nostril. Lie back for 20 mninutes with the Afrin solution, and that should stop the nose bleed. After, use the Bacitracin (2%, prescription strength) twice a day for 10 days. If the nose bleeds are frequent, you must see an ENT.

Answer:	It is just a gel, I use it with a C-Pap machine and there is no problem. I don't know about Ox. Machine, but would seem to me OK. Please check with your doctor!

Answer:	Yes, I used a Cotton Swab to apply the gel. The tube is small enough that if you're the only one using it, you could squirt the Gel into the nostril, but I found a Cotton Swab to be easier and less messy. This Nasogel is thicker than the Spray. I had the Spray with me because I didn't need the Cotton Swabs, so it was more portable. The Gel I kept in my bathroom and used it mostly overnight. So yes, you should be able to use both, I certainly did. The Spray mostly during the day and the Gel overnight.
Question:	I have tried every nasal gel, spray out there...is this better than ayr gel?... will it help with a deviate septum and nose bleeds..sneezing
Answer:	Yes, there is a better choice than Ayr gel or Nasogel, because both products have aloe vera, to which many people (including me) are allergic. My ENT has me use NeilMed Nasogel Drip Free Gel Spray, which I love, love, love, and the NeilMed Original Sinus Rinse Kit. I could not use a Neti Pot because of my severely deviated septum, but the regular bottle in the NeilMed Sinus Rinse Kit works fabulously. I travel extensively and get headaches without Nasogel Drip Free Spray. I can't live without it! Costco sells the Sinus Rinse Kits at a great price, too. Answer:	Vaseline is not recommended for a few reasons. First there is a risk of it getting into your lungs and causing serious side effects. Second the gasoline is to thick that it can interfere with the normal functioning of the nasal cilia. Rhinase went feel as thick and will help with nasal dryness.
Question:	It looks like Rhinase needs Q-tip for applying to upper nostril area. Does anyone find that difficult
Answer:	It is not difficult but with any intranasal product, first test on your skin to ensure you have no allergic reaction to the product. The last thing you want is to find that you have an allergic reaction and you can't easily rinse the remaining product off of your nasal turbinates (without nasal rinses, etc.). The turbinates quickly distribute chemicals into the bloodstream. I learned this the hard way with a severe allergic reaction. It wasn't easy to perform numerous nasal rinses to remove the product from my nose. Had I first tested on the back of my hand, I could have easily washed my hands. Also test with a small amount in one nostril before using liberal amounts in both. In my case, the reaction developed minutes later so I could have avoided further use by just waiting a short while during a test.
Question:	With top unpunctured, top stays on. I carefully used tiny scissors to puncture top, why does top not stay on? Returning again
Answer:	You are using the top upside down. You puncture the tin foil by reversing the top and using the pointed cone inside the top. Then you reverse the top so that the threaded part screws on to the tube.

Answer:	It's a mist going in. You can verify that by squirting some into the air. You are not expected to "put your head down" as another person says, to do this. It's far from a waste of money, PeninTx. If you do it 1-2-3 times per day, like upon getting up and before going to bed or when you get into the house from outdoor chores. If you are prone to sinus infections, congestion, and flares, you will surely reduce your incidence of them if you are regular and persistent in your use of saline nasal irrigation. NEVER us with tap water, mind you. Better to use the premixed packets to the correct strength per measure of clean water than to guess and mess around with salt, which is no longer recommended, whatever people of a certain age did as children "sniffing up salt water" for congestion. Today, it's distilled or boiled water only. Use the saline mix packets. They're inexpensive and convenient. I prefer the bottle to the "pot" if I use anything other than this mist version. Read the literature on the hazards of tap water and incorrect saline solution, available in scary detail all over. Please check our this answer to another questioner: Some is going to run out. Gravity does that. The path into your sinuses is not straight up. Insert the nozzle into your nostril so that you angle the business end where the mist comes out toward the outside corner of the eye on that side of your face (same side as the nostril you are shooting the solution into). If you use a saline bottle with purified water, it's the same: you angle the nozzle toward the outside corner of the eye to get the solution up into the sinuses. After doing this you can hang down as if you were going to touch your toes (if you can do that safely) to get more solution up higher. Some will come out when you straighten up. I've been at this for over 20 years with one appliance or another and it will curb your sinus problems enough to make the trouble worth it is my experience.

Answer:	I hold my head straight up. I use enough that it runs out and I use a tissue then to wipe my nose. I feel the more I get up in the nostril the better. Remember, it's safe it's just a saline solution, salt water won't hurt you, well on a cut it will, but not up your nose. It really helps clear you nose. I used sleep apnea machine and my nose gets clogged and sore, the solution really helps. good luck

Answer:	I got the giant size and it appears to have baking soda (listed as sodium bicarbonate). I have the Nasal Mist and use it everyday. I love it. I no longer have to use prescription nasal sprays and I am very clear now, even all night!! Yes, it does have a long nozzle on it and it is quite comfortable to use. This is great.

Answer:	I ordered mine in December 2018, expiration date on mine is January 2020.
Question:	Are these meant to be used again and again, or is there a shelf life or a maximum number of times you should use
Answer:	I have been using a saline spray like this for many years. Durning the late fall and winter months my nose gets very dry and congested. A spray like this helps a lot. They have an expiration date of about two years. I have continued to use for longer than that with no issues. As long as there is only one user I don't see a problem of using until the product is used up. If you have had a very serious infection, you might want to replace sooner or if it is contaminated is some way.

Our main site is in Allegan, Michigan. If a product is made outside of United States it has to be listed on labeling per government regulations.
