Question:	how do I order a second pair from same mold
Answer:	My wife has the women's size 7 and the arch is about 7/8" at the highest point with the orthotic sitting on a level surface. I don't think they are unusually high. They are relatively stiff (but comfortable) and probably adjusted for the size to mimic where the arch of the foot should be located. I also had problems with plantar fasciitis on a couple of occasions in the past. Since I started wearing these orthotics, I have not had a problem. If you're having an issue with it now, try freezing a small drinking water bottle (16 oz.) and rolling it under your bare foot for about 1/2 hour (2-3 times per day) while you are sitting down. My doctor recommended this, and worked wonders for me.

Answer:	The Maxx would likely be a better choice for one who has mild pronation issues and a high arch as the heel on the Maxx version is slightly posted (angled) specifically to address that problem.

Answer:	I don’t believe cushioning is the difference. I believe that it is just the arch. Max has a higher arch. I’ve never purchased for Max but I remember the sales person at the store saying that.
Question:	How long does it take to receive the custom molded orthotics back
Answer:	I wear Superfeet in all my ski boots and had them in hiking boots and winter boots as well. They last a really long time. However, they did not fully support my high arches in hiking boots and I dreaded long hikes because my feet would hurt so much. I thought this was normal. I tried Powersteps and the difference (after a few short break in hikes) has been dramatic. They corrected my under-pronation much better and no burning feet! And my hips are not longer sore. I agree they don't seem to hold up quite as well, but Superfeet are more expensive. What matters is how they make you feel and that is a trial and error proposition. I like that the Powerstep is as rigid as the green Superfeet. I bought a different but highly recommended foot bed that was soft and does not work as well. It depends on use. and users. These have been great for more athletic uses.

Answer:	I am a man and where 8.5 shoes with boxy toe room. New Balance Walking/hiking shoes. I have a size 9 set of these insoles and they fit perfectly. I dont know if that transfers to women's sizes and shoes, but it you wore the blue vervsion the plain Pinnacle - they take up about the same amount of space as the pinnacle plus. These are jsut cushier in a very nice and resilient way. Very happy with them.

Answer:	I checked the Powerstep website before purchasing mine to figure out the sizing. I just checked it for you and a women's size 7 is equivalent to a men's size 5, so you would order a size 5. I can't speak for cartilage loss, but I can tell you that I have had 4 foot surgeries for various problems and using these in my sneakers helps make them a lot more comfortable. I hope this helps.

Answer:	Yes, there's raised padding in the location where a metatarsal pad would go. It's pretty firm and works quite well for me.

Answer:	This one has another arch support under the metatarsal which is basically under the ball of the foot. For me it helps take some pressure off the sesamoid bone in which I had an injury. Best I can describe: instead of just the arch support on the side of the foot, there’s also a ‘raised pad’ directly underneath the ball of foot.

Question:	should you take original shoe insert out
Answer:	Yes, I believe they should fit both wide and regular width fine.
Question:	Can you wear these when exercising
Answer:	I wear a 11.5 to 12 in mens, this puts me right to the 12M 14W category identified on most sole foot beds. I would say for general to heavy use go sole softech as these would have better longevity over the "performance" model as those usually have the cork foot bed. as far as the thickness goes, it will all depend on what shoe your putting it in. IE if your looking for your running, exercise or light weight shoes of most types you would get the Thin version, the medium thickness beds are going to be good for your heavier shoes and out door type sneakers or light weight hiking boots. and finally the thick beds are going to be for work boots or heavy outdoor boots, but depending on your preference the thick sole's do well in hiking boots as well. I have all 3 versions of thickness and will swap them depending on what I am doing in that shoe for the day, I also have severely flat feet causing plantar fasciitis and tarsal tunnel syndrome and I have seen a drastic improvement in my feet since I started using these per my doctors recommendation of an "over the counter temporary fix". hope this helps.
Question:	Do they raise your heel so shoes slip off at the heel
Answer:	They could certainly stand up to the stress. I used a single pair for over 780 miles of running last year, and they still wear like new. I bought this thinner pair recently for a different style shoe. However, I don't think tennis is a game typically played with inserts. But I am neither and tennis pro nor a doctor. Good luck.
Question:	What is the difference between the cf410 and the cf
Answer:	I'm a 12-13 US depending on the maker of the shoe. My best advice is to take your shoe to a store that sells the SOLE insole and see which size fits best. I tried trimming and then heating a pair of the insoles (according to manufacturer instructions) and, not only was this far inferior to the three pair I already use, I was unable to get compensated for the soles I heated. They curled up and deformed after I put them in my shoes.

Answer:	The ones that are targeted for lower back have much better heal support than this one. The lower back pain mainly have heal support. There are quite a few Dr. Scholls insoles that do both well. (Running, Extra Support, and Tri-Comfort). All three are pretty similar, the Running one has more cushioning in the heel, but you'd only notice it running/jumping, even more than the lower back specific one. Tri-comfort does everything realy well, can be found for under $7 but lasts 8 weeks. (Tri-comfort=good to try).

Question:	Do you take the shoes inserts out
Answer:	It really depends. I've been using a single pair in my office work shoes since mid-April. For the first few months, they worked exactly as advertised. It is now August 18 and I can tell the inserts are starting to stink only after I take off my shoes. Be sure you are airing out your shoes and insoles overnight by taking out the insoles and leaving them near a vent or fan. If that is impossible, I would recommend wearing a different pair of shoes every other day to allow drying. I heard that these inserts can be "re-activated" by leaving out in the sun for a period of time, but I have not tried this. To answer your question however, in my case, 8.5 hour days same shoes, 5 day work weeks, it lasts at least two and a half months for optimal odor prevention. I'll be happy to answer any additional questions.

Answer:	Duct tape across the bottom can help with that. I had the same issue with some insoles.

Answer:	Try them with the old insoles left in...if your shoes are roomy, you can leave them in...I have a pair of shoes where I took them out, and they're comfortable...I got new walking shoes which I ordered a 1/2 size larger and I left the insoles in, and they're very comfortable...try both ways and see what's comfortable.
Question:	Whats the weight capacity
Answer:	I don't see why not. I have not done it. I wouldn't put them in the washer and dryer but I don't see why you couldn't rinse them with mild soap and lay them flat to dry.

Question:	Do you have to wear a bigger shoe size with these in your shoes
Answer:	They have a layer of cushioning but they do not have more padding in the heel. The ProTech is the only Powerstep that has an extra cushion in the heel. However, the Pinnacle Maxx is a posted orthotic meaning it has a small lift in the heel which brings your heel at a higher level, taking pressure off of the heel. Plus with the arch support, this is a great orthotic for Plantar Fasciitis amongst other foot problems.
Question:	are these sold in pairs
Answer:	I found that the arch support in the Superfeet Black insole (and all other Superfeet models) was positioned too close to the heel. It felt like I had a marble in my shoe and very little support. The "rear position" arch issue has been a problem with several insole brands that I've tried. However, the Powerstep insoles seem to have the arch positioned perfectly for the shape of my foot. It's also just flexible enough be really comfortable while providing lots of support. Add the deep heel cup- and the Pinnacle Maxx has been the absolute best insole for correcting my arch/overpronation problems. Another issue with the Superfeet insoles has been the hard plastic molding's sharp edges digging into the footbed area of some shoes. The Powerstep insoles don't have that problem. The truth is that there are lots of factors (foot shape, arch height, pronation, etc...) and you just have to find what works for your situation. In my case, I've had the best results with Powerstep and Redi-Thotics and Remind brand insoles- mostly due to the position and shape of the arch. I hope that's helpful information for someone trying to figure out what try next.
Question:	is this a universal size for both men and womens shoes
Answer:	They have been my lifesaver. I was already scheduled for pttd surgery. I bought one to start of with, then I bought a second pair. I use them in my sneakers and closed toe shoes. Have someone take a picture from the back barefooted and then place the insoles by themselves on the floor and stand on them and take another picture. You'll see the difference. I can be the complete day with.then on. Good luck
