Answer:	This is a spray. It is not a pressurized container. The product works very well. It takes very little bug juice to give you protection. I spray a little bit in the palm of my hand, then rub my hands together to give them a coating of the repellent. I then rub the areas I want to protect with my repellent coated hands. I may do this a couple of times a day based on how much I am sweating. Make sure you don't get it in your eyes or nose. This does irritate those areas.
Question:	Is 100% Deet dangerous
Answer:	According to the EPA, the answer is "No." (see http://www2.epa.gov/insect-repellents/deet ). Of course, all absolute claims should be taken with a grain of salt. And the state of NY has put out what seems to be a bit more reasoned assessment ( https://www.health.ny.gov/publications/2737/ ). That said, I have used (and continue to use) as close to 100% DEET products as I could find for over 40 years (30 years active duty infantry, 9 years in a wildlife agency, years of backpacking/hiking) and have developed no external or internal health issues. I use this because 1) many areas I operated in (Alaska, Thailand, Honduras, southern United States, Haiti, Panama, etc.) were almost literally unlivable if you couldn't ward off the insects and 2) because even more areas include insect-borne disease (Malaria, Dengue, West Nile, etc.). West Nile Virus activity exists in all but 6 of the lower 48 states and Dengue Fever (or its vector mosquito) is confirmed in Florida, Texas, Arizona, California and Hawaii. Lyme Disease and Encephalitis are also insect-borne diseases. As global warming evolves, other previously tropical insect-borne diseases will probably show up in the US. This is a cost-benefit analysis only you can do for you and your family. My answer rather arrogantly assumes you are talking about using this in the United States. If you are living/operating in more tropical areas outside the US, then it is really a matter of what type of personal insect control you are going to use, not whether to do so. Hope this at least helps reduce the ambiguity.

Answer:	Whenever I have used any mosquito repellent with DEET,....at first, it works very well....no mosquitoes will land on me or bite, ....but after a few hours , they are back again. When I use Repel....I have not experienced this "fading" effect, even after working in my garden and sweating heavily for 4 or 5 hours later! I am guessing it will have a similar shelf life as the typical DEET products...at least several years. I have on'y been using it for one summer but I notice no difference in the product's smell or viscosity. It DOES have a strong lemon-eucalyptus odor,...which I love,....and this fragrance does not disappear after many hours of use. I believe it is this strong fragrance that keeps the insects away.

Answer:	According to the Repel website for this product, the 305-62 yellow link reveals the safety data sheet. This lists ingredients including 30 percent by weight as citriodiol (the lemon eucalyptus component) and 45 percent ethanol. The other 25 percent ingredients are either "proprietary or non-hazardous." So it could be 25 percent water, or 25 percent some unique and proprietary chemical we have no clue about. The safety data sheet does note that it does not contain ingredients known to the state of California to cause birth defects.

Answer:	It is only contains 15% DEET and from what I read, repellents with 50% DEET are recommended. The label reads that it repels mosquitos, gnats, ticks, biting flies, chiggers and fleas. I checked Deep Woods Off and it has 25% DEET and doesn't list hay mites on the label as being repelled. Good luck! Those mites sound fairly awful.

Answer:	Not that I have seen. I would love that. This is the best available I could find. The scent is slight sweet like cotton candy but it goes on dry and after the initial spray you can't really smell it much.

Answer:	I don't see exactly where it is manufactured but it does say "Sold by SC Johnson and sons Inc. Racine, WI USA ". I can tell you it works well. I work nights and I am outside almost the entire night. I wear shorts and spray this on my legs. It has a slight sweet scent almost like cotton candy. It goes on dry and is not greasy or oily at all. I really don't like insect sprays that are oily and smell like Deet.

Direction To Use

Shake well before using. Hold container 4 to 6 inches from skin and spray with a slow sweeping motion. Do not use as a space spray. Use sufficient repellent to cover exposed skin evenly and completely. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after applying. For continued protection from listed insects, reapply every 2 hours or after swimming, perspiration, vigorous activity or toweling.

Answer:	As I have no medical training can only tell you what my experience has been. From my recollection of the instructions the preparation does not work through the nail. I have always applied fungi nail after showering and cutting my problem damaged toe nail back as far as I can. Fungi nail works on the nail bed, underneath the nail. I could take a very long time before you see results and you need to religious in your application so that the the fungal infection does not continue to re-establish. I have been using it for 2 years after every shower and my problem toe nail is now slowly growing clean.
Question:	Can this go into a carry on bag through an airport
Answer:	I honestly didn’t expect much but I thought I would try. I trimmed all the infected area of the nail off, washed and debriefed the nail bed and applied twice a day. I also took vitamins for nail growth. The nail is now normal looking and 3/4 grown back. I applied to nail and bed. I think it’s a 5 star.

Question:	Can I use this on my dog safley
Answer:	The Scotts Wizz Handheld Spreader is designed to spread granular products. Unless the product to be spread is highly powdered or sticky it should spread fine. Several kinds of products are sold under the Preen label. I do not know which product you are interested in using, so I am speculating. The Preen Lawn care products should spread fine because they are designed for use with broadcast spreaders. The Garden Products are generally applied by hand using the sprinkle container, but both the Garden and the Organic Garden products are granular so they should both work unless they have gotten moist. One word of caution though, the recommended applications rates may need to be converted to dial setting by experiment.
Question:	Does the 24oz bottle permethrin come with a sprayer
Answer:	does not work well with sand like granules that r heavier than most. clogs gears and wears batteries down fast
Question:	I thought this thing is odorless. However, I just bought it and the bag it came in has strong odor. Is it possible
Answer:	The problem with NiMH rechargeables is that they are at most 1.2V each. Alkalines are 1.5V each, so trying to use NiMH will only give the device 5V (1.2V x 4) instead of 6V (1.5V x 4). Some devices won't operate at 5V, thinking that the alkalines batteries (really NiMH) are dead. There are several lithium AA batteries available on Amazon that should directly work. They are the type that have micro-usb charge ports on the side of them, and present regulated 1.5V (like alkaline) at their terminals, rather than the typical 3.2-3.6V of unmodified lithium cells. They have a decent capacity, and should easily last a spreading session on an average yard. I use these extensively in devices that take AA alkalines, with excellent results. They are pricey, but save money and waste in the long run. You probably already own the necessary charging infrastructure (a micro-usb cable and a wall-wart usb charger). You can also try to use two 3.2V lithium unmodified rechargeables along with two AA "dummy" cells. This will give 6.4V to the spreader instead of 6.0V from alkalines. I've used this method successfully in a trail camera that takes 8 AA batteries. I use four 3.2V rechargeable lithiums and four dummy AA cells. You will need to buy a charger for these, though. Amazon sells four packs of these batteries, bundled with a cheap charger.
Question:	Is it safe to spray on skin
Answer:	Unfortunately no the rock salt is just too heavy and large for it even at the 9 max opening setting and with fresh batteries it struggles and stops clogs up, maybe if you can find a finer ground rock salt possibly but the little motor seems underpowered it is not heavy duty, ended up using it as a big scoop and shaking it to spread the rock salt. It can handle lightweight things like grass seed very well and other small pellet fertilizers like milorganite. Don't think it would be good for any powders only small pellets. I'd skip this and look into buying a walk behind/push broadcast spreader for spreading rock salt.

When a tick, mosquito, or other insect comes into contact with Permethrin, it absorbs a dose that will either repel or kill the insect. Applied to clothing, tents, outdoor furniture, or sleeping bags, Permethrin is very effective at reducing the mosquito population in your camping area and keeping ticks from attaching to you.

Sawyer Permethrin uses the same active ingredient found in hair shampoos for head lice. However, because your skin breaks down Permethrin within fifteen minutes of contact, it's not useful as a personal protection insect repellent when applied to the skin.

Permethrin-treated clothing and fabric should be your first line of defense, and it can be used in conjunction with a topical skin-based repellent such as Sawyer's Picaridin, MAXI DEET, and Ultra 30 products.

Question:	Does this really work in NC in the summers and high mosquito times
Answer:	In NC I cannot say, but in Central America, when always is high mosquito times I can say with property: IT WORKS !!!!!. I spent two weeks and it worked wonders, even the aroma is really good. I strongly recommend it.
Question:	Does this do anything to repel ticks
Answer:	This does not work well to repel ticks. I just came back from a week in rural PA and used several sprays before going out and found 3 wood ticks on 3 separate days on me. Maybe this works well for mosquitos, but I can not recommend it as a tick repellant.
