3 best tampons for women ultra
Ultra tampons for women are a type of feminine hygiene product designed to manage menstrual flow. These tampons are part of a broader category of tampons, and they are specifically marketed as "ultra" to indicate that they have a high absorbency level. Here is some information about ultra tampons for women:
Absorbency: Ultra tampons are designed to provide higher absorbency compared to regular tampons. They are suitable for individuals with heavier menstrual flow.
Sizes: Ultra tampons come in various sizes and absorbency levels to accommodate different flow intensities. Common sizes include regular, super, and super plus, with ultra being one of the highest absorbency levels available.
Applicators: Many ultra tampons come with applicators to make insertion more comfortable and convenient. Applicators can be made of plastic or cardboard, depending on the brand and personal preference.
Non-Applicator Options: Some ultra tampons are also available without applicators, which are known as non-applicator or digital tampons. These can be inserted using a finger.
Materials: Ultra tampons are typically made from materials like cotton or a combination of cotton and synthetic fibers. They are designed to be comfortable and to reduce the risk of irritation.
Leakage Protection: Tampons are engineered to provide leak protection by expanding to absorb menstrual fluid. They have a string attached for easy removal.
Usage: Tampons should be changed regularly, usually every 4 to 8 hours, to prevent leakage and reduce the risk of toxic shock syndrome (TSS).
Safety: It's important to follow the manufacturer's instructions for safe usage and to be aware of the potential risks associated with tampon use, such as TSS. TSS is a rare but serious condition that can be associated with tampon use, so it's essential to use tampons as directed and seek medical attention if you experience symptoms like high fever, rash, or vomiting.
Ultra tampons for women are a popular choice among those with heavy menstrual flow, as they offer increased absorbency to help individuals feel more comfortable and confident during their periods. It's important to choose the right absorbency level for your needs and to use tampons safely and hygienically.

User questions & answers
Question: | Hi are these at all compareable to ultra in Tampax. I have a heavy flow and ultra is all i use but this playtex is a great price, i hope they are |
Answer: | Hi!! I have used both!! The OB brand in the ultra was my 1st choice, but as I get a bit older, I find it harder to use the OB tampons with no applicator. The Tampax brand in the ultra absorbency was the 3rd runner up..they were just not quite as leak proof due to the Tampax brand expanding long ways and outward. They did leak. Also, I might add the Tampax brand has lately been very, very irritating to me skin.. trust me you don't want an allergic reaction in such a sensitive area!!! The Playtex Ultra was my fave! They don't irritate my skin, and they expand more side to side and I feel they offered much better protection!! I have ultra super crazy sensitive skin due to my allergies and such, and playtex brand by far is the best i have used. My flow is VERY heavy and my cycle is almost a week long. I like how comfortable they are. They no longer carry them where I live so I was so excited when I saw them on here!! I hope this was helpful! |
Question: | is the tampon wrapped individually? This is preferred. Thanks |
Answer: | Yes, they were individually wrapped. |
Question: | What is the difference between the ultra and super |
Answer: | The ultra is the highest level of absorbency; super plus is right below it. |

Answer: | I don’t thing they have chlorine inside |
Question: | Why are they called "digital |

o.b. Non Applicator Digital Tampons
Small, but oh-so-mighty! o.b. tampons are super discreet, but offer amazing protection against leaks thanks to Fluid-Lock grooves. Designed by a woman for women, they offer the perfect fit for your unique body.
First Time Using A Digital Non-Applicator Tampon?
Isn’t it messy to insert a tampon without an applicator?
A finger pocket at the base of the tampon helps protect your fingertip. After you unwrap the o.b. tampon, pull the string to widen the base and put your finger in the newly created indentation. As you insert the tampon, your fingertip remains covered by this pocket of cotton-like fibers. Since there's no applicator between you and the tampon, the o.b. tampon begins to absorb as you insert it. And there's no messy applicator to deal with.
Is it really comfortable without an applicator?
Most applicators are designed straight even though the vagina is naturally curved. Fingertip insertion allows you to follow the natural curve of the vaginal canal and insert the tampon where it is most comfortable for your body. Once you try it a few times, you’ll be surprised at your instinctive ability to know where to place the tampon.
Do I need to lubricate the tampon?
Usually no, by using the right absorbency for your menstrual flow, this make insertion easier. For example, you may wish to use higher absorbency tampons when your menstrual flow is heavy and then switch to a lower absorbency tampon on lighter days. If you want to use a lubricant, we suggest applying a very small amount of water-soluble lubricant only on the tampon tip. Too much lubrication will interfere with the absorbency of the tampon. Do not use petroleum jelly or other lotions and creams not intended for vaginal use.
