Our pads also have a corn-starch based wrapper. Our digital (non-applicator) tampons have a bio-plastic wrapper to meet FDA safety requirements protecting the tampon from damp, mould and bacteria. Answer:	Blood flow amount or activity. You want over nights for when you're sleeping and heavy regular for if you tend to bleed through regular pads during the day. Regular is if you're an average bleeder that changes them every 4 hours or so. They work well but I had to try 2 different sizes and pick a preference. I'm a heavy bleeder but felt awkward because they were longer than regular but it prevented awkward moments. I like this brand for comfort and odor protection better than ALL others.
