But, contrary to popular opinion, this is mostly due to harsh surfactants that strip too much oil, not the product's pH. For example, acid mantle won't be bothered as much if you wash your skin with plain water. Even though water's pH is 6.6-7.0. It's also important to know what's left behind once you rinse soap. Preservatives, glycerine, synthetic fragrances, and certain chemicals can disturb the natural equilibrium, lead to dryness, irritation, and prevalence of unwanted microorganisms. pH matters much more in leave-on creams or toners that will stay on your skin long after an application. In general, you wouldn't want to put anything on your skin with a pH lower than 3.5 or higher than 10.0. You can cause harm with a strong acid as much as with a strong alkali. Let's mention vaginal pH, as well. A healthy pH there is below 4.3 (although there are some exceptions in some areas of the world, it also fluctuates depending on age and menstrual cycle). Answer:	I've never had an issue. Make sure you didn't accidentally turn it the other way to stop anything from coming out. Sometimes you don't even realize you might have done that. If that doesn't work I would pour it into a empty bottle of foaming soap and use that pump. You could also contact the seller. I'm sure they will do something about it.
