There is a change in perception of how it sounds because of how the human ear works, even if the drop in noise is not all that significant. Relatively speaking, a normal conversation, however, is around 60-65 decibels.

Answer:	Yes, I've worn them for sleeping for a few years now due to noisy neighbors. They are comfortable with multi-hour use; sometimes a new pair can seem a bit large when first worn (hurting my ear a bit, but I have small ears). If this happens, I just pull them out a bit and all is well. And they do stay in all night if you insert them according to the directions on the package (pull ear up and back, roll the plug tightly and insert). I don't know what I'd do without these, they are a lifesaver as far as my sleep!

Answer:	These will definitely help! They won’t completely block the noise though. Also, they should fit small ears. They scrunch up to be really small.

Answer:	I got these ear plugs for prevention. I thought if I am exposed to loud noise, I could eventually hurt my ear drums. I don't think you want to block the smallest sounds. Think about it this way. You wear sun glasses to block the harmful rays or basically feel comfortable against bright lights. You don't want to cover your eyes because you won't see your surroundings. You want to have some awareness of your surroundings: noise, light, etc...

Answer:	Theses have a noise reduction rate of 32, and most shooting ear muffs only have a noise reduction rate of around 22-26, so these will definitely protect you. That being said, I agree with the person who said they work best along with outer ear protection. Of course, it also it depends on what you're shooting and whether you're shooting at an indoor range or outside, but again, I'd still play it safe and double up.

Answer:	Here is what I found... These uncorded plugs are rated NRR 32(or Noise Reduction Rating of 32). NRR is calculated by unprotected ear dB levels minus protected ear decibel levels minus 3 dB. The higher the NRR rating, the better the protection. They work really well for what I use them for, which is to sleep :-)

Answer:	I had washed some by accident and they clean beautifully bit no longer expand the same way. You cannot really use them after washing, but like others say, you can use them for a good week. I have a container i keep mine in so no dirt and dust. been using for 5 years for work and sleep so average 12h a day weekly. No ear issues, infections, or anything like that.

Noah I've been working in a factory with loud noises for a long time, and this is the best ear plugs that worked for me. If you squeeze them right and insert them into your ear tunnel and hold them down for few seconds, it works great. Just be careful when you need to take them out of your ears, follow the instructions in the manual, twist them and go slowly about it so you won't hurt your eardrum.

Question:	Will this product prevent me from hearing my alarm clock in the morning? I'm only concerned about blocking out noise from parties outside my door
Answer:	Robert - Haven't had that problem, and I use Flents every night to block out house and outside noise. Answer:	All earplugs can occasionally cause a bit of temporary itching. If it becomes an ongoing issue or health concern, we recommend seeing an ENT doctor for a medical assessment as there may be other contributing factors. Beyond that, it may simply be due to the earplug "tickling" the sensitive lining of the ear canal, a pesky piece of earwax or due to a bit of natural perspiration that can form when the ear canal is plugged for long periods of time. Allowing the ear plenty of time to air out between uses helps minimize these occurrences.

Question:	Are these smaller than the Dreamgirl ear plugs? I've tried the women's ear plugs from Walgreens found they're still too big for me
Answer:	yes... the Dream Girls they make now are not quite the same as the ones they made a while back. I switched to these because the new Dream Girls were too big. See my review... if you have smaller ear canals, these might be what you need... they work for me and if I put them in correctly, they totally block out the noise and do not irritate my ear canals even with 9 hours of wear.

Answer:	I can't measure it, but I can tell you it is small, but not the smallest I have ever found. I got some hot pink ones that ended up being too small. I have small ears and these are just right. Hope that helps.

Answer:	Hi,These ear plugs are meant to reduce the decibel levels by 29 dBA. So if you were working in an environment of 100 db the effective sound level at your ears would be 71 dBA. BUT according to OSHA you shouldn't assume the maximum amount of reduction, they say as a safe rule of thumb that you should consider the reduction to be only 50% of the listed reduction. So in the case of these ear plugs where the dBA is 29 according to OSHA you should consider them to be good for only 15 dBA. So to go back to your question, of course they would work in a 29 to 32 dBA environment. To give you an idea what sounds are at what dBA's - 20 dBA is Whispers or rustling leaves, 40 dBA is a Library, 60 dBA is typical office conversations, 80 dBA is a Garbage Disposal running or a Dishwasher, 90 dBA is a Food Blender or Busy Street, 100 dBA is a Jackhammer, Power Mower, an Outboard Motor on a boat, 120 dBA is Live Rock Music or a Chain Saw.Hope this helps...

Answer:	I have used for floating in a tank of water and they did keep the water out fairly well--better than the brand that the franchise provided for free.

Answer:	I've used these everywhere including a plane. It muffles everything down to a low hum. If there's an emergency or a disturbance you'll hear it. But it works well enough. The only problem is sleeping on those uncomfortable economy seats!

Answer:	Yes, they are soft and do not make my ear canals ache in the morning. They are made with soft foam, unlike other brands.They DO NOT fall out if put in correctly. The only downside to them is that you can only use them a couple of times before you need to use a new pair. They are so soft that they wear out quickly.

Question:	Will the plugs prevent water from entering the ears while bathing or swimming
Answer:	My wife was told by our family doctor to use ear plugs when taking a shower. So far she has been using these for that reason and the work when showering. I really don't think that they would work if swimming in deep water. To me the Howard Leight Max 1 earplugs are very good. I use these when I shoot high power fire arms. I had also sent boxes of these to my cousin when serving in Afghanistan in the United States Army.

Answer:	They are quite similar in size. The tip of the Dreamgirl is a bit pointier than the Slim Fit and the base of the Dreamgirl is flared a bit wider than the Slim Fit base. I know that doesn't help that much. If you like the color, I'd try the Dreamgirl. if not, I'd go for the purple Slim Fit. I hope this helps a least a little bit. Question:	Are these smaller than Mack's ultra soft? I am using them now, and they hurt
Answer:	Yes, they are smaller. If you look at the base (you can see it in the pictures of the product on Amazon), you will see a four-pronged opening that has a hole that penetrates into the center of the plug. This hollow helps the foam compress better when you roll it in your fingers before fitting into your ear. So it is smaller and thinner than the other size and easier to insert. I have tried the extra-soft Mack’s brand, plus two other storebrands. This is the only earplug that doesn’t hurt when I use it. It doesn’t cut the sound 100% for me, maybe close to 90%, but more than enough to get good sleep.
