Some manufacturers do better than others, top ones Petzl and Black Diamond ... similar to LED household bulb efficiencies (lumens/watt). But let's say they are all equal in efficiency. This means a 360 lumen lamp will use much more than a 260, so if the 260 is 'plenty good', fewer batteries to buy. Think of this as a battery eater ... like razor blades, film (dating myself), printer cartridges. It may not be the razor or camera that is the dollar drain, it's the batteries. Answer:	I don't think so. A family member was on extended oxygen use, so I'm familiar with the size of the tubing. The earloop protectors are for a thinner string-like or rubber band size band on the paper masks.

Answer:	That is what I bought them for and the trick to getting them to stay on is to apply some brush-on glue for strip style false eyelashes to the inside seam. I bought the KISS brand - Amazon sells for less than $4. Eyelash glue is flexible and isn't permanent, remove with rubbing alcohol, apply new glue and transfer to a new cannula.

Answer:	I am a hairdresser and I use these for my clients to keep hair color from staining the ears and also at the shampoo bowl. Several of my clients have hearing aids that can't get wet and another had recent surgery. I always shield the the water with my other hand in front of the protector to keep water from leaking into the ear, so if you have water directly on your face then you should press the protector against the skin so water doesn't leak in. Otherwise, the protectors should keep your ears dry and won't leak in from the top or back of the ear. The elastic is not real tight around the ear, but better then some others I have used in the past.

Answer:	I wet a Q-tip with rubbing alcohol and clean them. This is preferable to soaking the plug in alcohol which might deform their shape. Otherwise just dilute Dawn dish soap in water, still using a Q-tip to clean the crevices. These are great, I've been to several very loud concerts this year and was able to enjoy them more with Eardials over the industrial foam plugs I usually use.

Answer:	No, they are never the same, you can check any other test result for any other earplug. Although there is no direct SNR/NRR conversion, the NRR is always lower because it takes into account standard deviation and the calculation method is slightly different. I personally think that SNR is more accurate and NRR is the worst case scenario in edge cases.

Answer:	Buy active over the ear protection for shooting. They cost around $40-100 and will have you hearing people whispering while completely blocking out the damaging volume of a gunshot. Guns are so loud that depending on what I'm shooting sometimes I use earplugs and over the ear at the same time.
