Answer:	I got the light grey/pink one, and it’s not too bad. I bring it with me on the metro so naturally, overtime, it gets slightly darker and dirtier but it’s easy to clean off with soap and water. I wouldn’t say it’s waterproof, but it’s lasted well on me through rain and such!

Answer:	It would depend on how many and how large the books are and if you carried them all at the same time (my son didn't use his locker so he carried everything and it wouldn't have been big enough 9th grade). My daughter had a 2 inch binder, a lunch box, and IPAD (she's in 6th grade) and there was some room left. I hope this helps.
