Question:	Do you or the dog need protective glasses when using this device
Answer:	No one does not. Though they do suggest to not aim the light towards eyes. But, I have not had any problems with this device. And I am careful when using it on my cat not to directly aim it by her eyes. Unlike, when my cat goes for laser treatments, where she does need to wear protective goggles as do those administering treatments. A side note, I find we have gone far less for laser treatments since we have started using LumaSoothe Light Therapy. :)

Answer:	Both. Manufacturer specs list wavelengths between 500-2500nm. Rest assured, this is nothing like a 660nm or 850nm near infrared bulb. This device produces very hot heat that can burn your skin if the device is too close for the 15 minute duration.

Answer:	The reflector is made of aluminum. It is very thin and prone to damage--if you drop this you will dent it.

Answer:	Yes, I use it just plugged into the standard USA outlet in the wall and have used both the TheraBulb NIR-A Near Infrared Bulb - 250 Watt that mention its designed to emit optimal NIR healing wavelengths of 700 to 1200 nanometers. I've also tried successfully with the cheaper Philips Heat Lamp R40 Flood Light Bulb: 250-Watt which is also a infrared bulb.
Question:	Would this be safe to put inside a doghouse
Answer:	I would say no. I use it with infrared bulbs for the light therapy and I don't find these to be very good at all. The clamps do not work well like to dangle and hang. I am not able to direct them where I want because the clips are lousy, but even if they worked well I'm not sure this'll be a good set up for doghouse - in my opinion. I'm not sure it would be safe. The dog could still touch the light and get burnt.

Answer:	You can use up to a 300 watt red infrared bulb in it. I use mine with a 250 Watt infrared bulb and it works fine. Hope that helps.
