User questions & answers
Question: | I'm confused in how to use these. Do you put them on your skin or ingest them? And what's the difference between the oil and the soft gel version |
Answer: | I have ingested thus daily for the last 4 years. A couple of drops in 8 oz of water and drink it. I basically have a zero immune system and was constantly sick. A friend that had taken it for years told me about it and told me how to take it. Sinus infection 1 time and I had forgotten to take it with me on a trip. My husband and grown daughter ask me before each trip dud you get your onguard? |
Question: | Where do you find directions for the use of this product |
Answer: | On doTerra's website. As a general rule of thumb, its a cotton ball with a carrier oil ( like coconut oil) with one drop of this oil and rub on both feet. |
Question: | Can anyone tell me how to make the sanitizing mist |
Answer: | Here is what I found online: Ingredients 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel 20 drops doTERRA On Guard Water Instructions In a glass spray bottle, combine aloe vera and doTERRA On Guard. Fill the rest of bottle with water. Shake until combined. To use, spray on hands and rub together. |
Question: | I read that one reviewer said this was fake and we should order directly from doTerra. Can anyone reassure me this isn't fake? Thanks |
Answer: | I just received my order and it is identical in every way to the On Guard I currently have. It came sealed and well packed. I have no reason to believe it is a fake. |

User questions & answers
Question: | How is serenity oil compared to lavender oil for sleep purpose? i will be using the oil in diffuser. i have used lavender and found it to be good |
Answer: | I would say this blend works even better than lavender alone. It strikes perfect balance between lavender, vanilla, etc. The lavender definitely comes through first, but without the sharpness. Vanilla and Ylang-ylang, et al, really soften the scent. Its extremely well-balanced, and amazing how balanced it makes me and my family feel. My dogs even like it...I start their diffuser when they wake us up at dawn & they curl back up like hypnotized bears to sleep an extra hour after the sun comes up. Anything that works that well on these wild beasts, would probably have similar effects on children. This is the one blend we can't live without. Straight lavender is great but this is way better. I also keep a small spray-bottle with me at all times..just spring water and aprox 10-15 drops serenity (or straight lavender) for a 4oz bottle. Anytime I, my fiancee, or these animals, start feeling angsty, we all get a little squirt into our air. He's a total skeptic, and hates straight lavender, but this one he can tolerate, and it quickly charms him, although he won't admit that. :) #betterthandruggingyourmate (sorry, couldn't help myself. I have a terrible sense of humor & would never drug my mate...I just occasionally dream about how it might possibly help him) #serenityblendworks |
Question: | Does this product come with any additional information? Where and when to use? I have been using the Lavender on big toe and thumbs |
Answer: | No, it doesnt come with any information, however, I normally just put it on my wrists or feet or even behind the ear. I dont use a carrier oil for this but you can use one if you want to spread out the life of the oil. You can use coconut carrier oil if you please. I use every night before bed or when I am stressed. |
Question: | Is this a pure oil blend or does it have fractionated coconut oil too, like some of the doTerra blends |
Answer: | This is a pure blend, but as with many oils, you can dilute it with coconut oil! |
Question: | Is this a verified actual 'doterra' product? I was told that doterra says it does not ever have 3rd party sellers |
Answer: | They don't have 3rd party sellers. There are certain wellness advocates that sell retail though. They are not authorized to sell on amazon though. Bought this product and it doesn't even smell like the one I bought direct from doterra |

User questions & answers
Question: | I notice the Balance blend has coconut oil in it. Do all the doTerra oil blends include coconut oil? This is the only one that lists it |
Answer: | Not all oils include coconut oil. Many do, but many do not as well. If you look them up, you can get an exact list of those that do and don't. |
Question: | What oil are best for memory |
Answer: | There are a few different oils that are good for this. While balance is more of a calming blend, you could definitely use clove, frankincense, or even rosemary to help with memory. |
Question: | does it really smell good? I don't want to smell like trees |
Answer: | I wear Balance, and it reminds me of a "Christmas tree scent." However, men and women both compliment me about how good I smell! No one has ever told me that I smelled like a Christmas tree, even when I have specifically asked. It works well with my body chemistry. |
Question: | A friend that sells doTerra oils told me that the products offered on Amazon are "not real" doTerra products. Are these knockoffs |
Answer: | doTerra doesn’t sell their products on amazon. Buyer beware that you are getting the real thing. doTerra products can only be purchased through a wellness advocate |
