Answer:	I never had that problem. I don't even turn off water and it never leaked. make sure you have a real good hose and an extra large washer and tighten with pliers.

Answer:	The base is three prongs spaced equally over a lenght span of 15 1/4" total. The prongs go out "L" shaped from the base 8 inches and with three prongs that can be push into the ground up to 7 1/2 deep. So the base at the bottom is 15 1/4" in length, 8" in width and with prongs on all corners (plus one centter prong on the front) that sink into the ground up to 7 1/2" deep.

Answer:	I am really not sure, but they are long enough to hold my garden hose. The hose stand has been in the ground for approximately 2 years now with no problems becoming unstable. Hope this helps.
