Answer:	I think you can paint an entire room although I used it for my deck stain at the edges.Shur line says "paint pad is faster than a brush and provides a smoother finish than a roller cover ". You probably will need a brush for certain locations so if it were me, I would try it and if you don't like it resort to the brush or roller.

Answer:	I'm sorry but I don't understand your question. The Shur-line pads come in 2 sizes, 7 inch and 9 inch. I'm not sure what you mean by a 6 inch pad? If you are asking if another brand of pad will fit the Shur-line handle, I suspect the answer is no. The handle attaches to the pad in a specific way and probably differs by manufacturer. Even older Shur-line handle will not work the newer pads.
