The ingredients are the same, the olive oil is not specified, so I would assume it is the same EVOO though you would think they would advertise it as such. The basil is the same as Ligurian and Genoese are the same. I am curious what is wrong with using evoo in pesto?

I might be able to help shed some light on that. There are some products on here that are for shopper convenience and not for a price advantage. For us to ship to CA it costs around $12, pretty much at minimum. Plus there is a fee to list it. We always try to offer the best deal, but sometimes we sell things that are what customers want and would rather have shipped even if it costs more. I hope this helps.

Answer:	Mine has an expiration date on it of Nov 2015. I purchased these over a year ago- so it is a pretty long shelf life. If you don't use the whole amount then you keep it in the fridge and it stays good. I love this product and will buy it again when I run out.
