Answer: I have been trying to determine that for years. Some say it’s to pair up certain pastas with certain sauces. Others say it has to do with manufacturing the pastas, as in earlier times laborers didn’t always speak Italian and it was easy to assimilate numbers with certain pastas that they were going to make for the day! Wish I could be more helpful.

Answer: Rather doubt it. It's not gluten free. Delicious pappardelle noodle which is wider and thicker than fettuccine. This is my preferred brand of pasta. The flavor and texture is always good but I suspect if you have a problem digesting wheat this noodle will be a problem for you. Have you tried Pad Thai Rice noodles?

Heat oil over medium heat in a medium saucepan. Saute onion until translucent, then add garlic and saute until gently browned.
