Cooking Tips

1. Bring 4 - 6 quarts of water to a rolling boil, add salt to taste.

2. Add contents of package to boiling water. Stir gently.

3. Return to a boil. For authentic ‘al dente’ pasta, boil uncovered, stirring occasionally for 11 minutes. For more tender pasta, boil an additional 1 minute.

4. Remove from heat. Drain well.

5. Serve immediately with your favorite Barilla sauce.

Barilla Mini Farfalle

1. Bring a pot of water to a boil.

2. Add oil and onions to a medium saute pan and heat over medium-high heat.

3. Saute for 3 minutes or until onions are soft.

4. Add cherry tomatoes to skillet.

5. Saute tomatoes for another 3 minutes until skins are blistered and flesh is heated through; season with salt and pepper.

6. Meanwhile, cook Mini Farfalle according to directions on the package.

7. Remove sauce from heat, puree 1/3 of sauce in a blender on high, for 2 minutes.

8. Return the puree to saute pan.

9. Drain and toss pasta with sauce.

10. Finish with basil and mozzarella cheese.

Barilla Mini Farfalle in Pink Sauce

1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil.

2. Heat Barilla Three Cheese Sauce and cream in a skillet over medium heat.

3. Simmer for two minutes, stirring occasionally.

4. Meanwhile, cook Barilla Mini Farfalle according to package directions.

5. Drain pasta and immediately add to sauce mixture.

6. Mix well.

7. Stir in olive oil and transfer to a serving platter or bowl.

Answer:	I can't help you with specifics. Can only say that I was satisfied with the product when I received it. Don't remember when I ordered for sure, but order more than I can use for quite a while. Still have two packages on the shelf. I like having it there when I am ready to use it...specifically for Italian Wedding Soup. I am a repeat customer of this product on Amazon because I cannot find it in local groceries.
