Answer:	FYI: Celtic salt is a (French grey) sea salt which is supposed to be wet due to the grey clay from natural pools in France from which it's harvested. Himalayan pink salt is a rock salt mined in northern Pakistan from a salt mine dug from the side of a mountain, which is why you get pink rocks and sand etc. Unfortunately Himalayan salt is a finite resource, once gone, it's gone forever.

Answer:	The people who produce this pink salt will tell you that it doesn't have enough iodine in it to keep a person healthy.SO, it is best to get iodine from another source..To rely on this product, you will harm your body. It's best to ignore what the other person said. That is a fact.IF you want some iodine in your salts, the best way, IMO, is to get some kelp seasoning and get the pink salt and put them together. You could get some ground up kelp and add a bit into a shaker or just get some thicker ones and get a grounder salt mill thingie.That's what I am going to do.Also do note, Himalayan salt is not actually from the Himalayas like this salt states it is from. It's actually from Khewra salt mines located in Pakistan. It's the 2nd largest mine in the world. It is, however, near the Himalayas, like 100-200 miles away or so. The pink is due to the amount of iron in it. There are red salt which has a lot of iron in it from Hawaii. Thing is, with sea salt, it's pretty contaminated and this salt formed so long ago before humans touched it. So it's prolly not that bad for you. However, it doesn't have the amount of iodine needed.

Answer:	This is the grinder I purchased in fact two sets one for my home and one for my mother's home and neither grinder likes to grind it at all. In fact it gets stuck, runs very slow, acts as tho the grinder needs new batteries with brand new batteries already and this is both sets of electric grinders. The flavor is great, however I would say that this is to course for electric grinders. Of course these are not $200 grinders they are $45 grinders yet they struggle very hard with this salt. I have two things I intend to do, one is to purchase a couple hand grinders for each of us and second purchase a finer grain of the exact same brand and use it in my grinders, yes I am sure it is redundant but I am an electrician so I prefer it that way.

Much purer than sea salt, Himalayan pink salt combines sublime flavor from the ancient sea with rich minerals including calcium, magnesium, potassium, copper, and iron. This 250 million-year-old Jurassic era sea salt, is hand-harvested from the foothills of the Himalayas, is 100% natural, unrefined and unpolluted pink, translucent salt crystals. Whereas, Himalayan salt is derived from the Himalayas, from the rocks in the river. Answer:	No, it does not make the water pink.

Answer:	Even if the salt does contain traces of iodine, it is irrelevant. Iodine off gases from salt which is one of the worst places to try and get it from. Further, traces (say less than 400 mcg (micrograms), the US RDA) of iodine may help prevent goiter but are no where near what our bodies need for health. Read up - Dr. Brownstein. Take it as a separate supplement, daily. I'm taking 50 mg (milligram), half in the AM and in the PM. It took 8 months to get there, starting a 7.25 mg once a day. I was detoxing bromide and fluoride the whole time. I had acne and mild headaches for the most part and one 3 day headache from hell. It's OK to back off and restart in a couple days at a slightly lower dose. Persist. Bromide, fluoride, and chlorine are alternate (and toxic) halides (salts) that the body will up take in place of what it really needs, iodine/iodide. It has made a significant and positive difference in my health. 12.7mg a day may be enough. 100mg may be needed. Along the same lines, read up on K2 deficiency. Just saying. Vital if you are pregnant, for you and your child's sake. Be well.

This product is sold as a SPICE for eastern foods and not as a health supplement. However it does wonders for Jeera Rice!

Answer:	I was curious about this as well. All the geopolitical stuff aside it's a known fact that the purest Himalayan salt in the world comes from mines in Pakistan that have been there for a very very long time. So I called the seller of this product and just asked him point-blank about their sources. The San Francisco Salt Company for over 10 years has always ordered its pink Himalayan salt from the same company and it is 100% sourced from those mines in Pakistan! I have used this salt in the course variety in salt grinders in the kitchen for quite some time and it is an incredibly good salt. It is now my intention to buy the extra fine version, especially since I know it is sourced from Pakistan mines, and I'm going to replace the white salt in all the salt shakers in the house!
Question:	Which of the grinds are the closest to regular table salt
Answer:	i bought the fine, and it is still a bit larger than what you would find in regular table salt, but very acceptable, and the taste is awesome!

Answer:	Salt has no gluten. Gluten comes only from wheat, barley, or rye. If you didn't know that you don't need a gluten free diet. Gluten free is an UNhealthy FAD that will give you Type 2 Diabetes if you are not careful. The ONLY reason to be on a gluten free diet is if you have been diagnosed with Celiac Disease by a doctor.

Answer:	L. Ebert is right. This mineral salt is naturally pink from combination with another mineral. Processing has been limited to breaking the deposits down into chunks and then milling them to be fine, medium or coarse. This salt has no added iodine or anti-clumping agent. It is very close to its natural form.
