Answer:	It has four filters in the bottom of the unit. They do look like “wicks” I don’t see a separate wick of any other kind.

Question:	Having a really hard time with filters. Mine aren't even lasting two weeks. How do you make them last
Answer:	There should be 4 tabs on each lower housing (the housing that hold the filters), and there should also be 4 corresponding slots on each top filter housing. The lower housing should have two tabs sticking straight up in the front, and two tabs sticking horizontally out the back. The two tabs in the back are just flat tabs, and they are supposed to just slide into the two slots in the back of the top housing. The two front tabs on the lower housing are shaped such that they will "snap" into the two slots in the front of the top housing. The tabs on the back of the lower housing are used to align the top housing with the lower housing, and to help keep it in place. Check to see if the lower housings on your unit have the tabs in the back, and if the top housings have the slots for them.
Question:	Where do you get the filters
Answer:	No. You'll need 1/4" copper tubing, 6" duct tubing to go from supply side of humidifier to the return air duct, a suitable 6" circular duct to fasten to the hole you'll make in the return air duct, bell wire to run from controller to voltage reduction transformer. Do yourself a favor and get a roll of foil tape for taping up seams and leaks.
Question:	Are the wick and filter the same thing
Answer:	Works quite well in my 2300 sf house. Was built in '92 so not too old but still not as sealed up tight like recent construction. From what I have observed, the humidifier doesn't run all the time and humidity levels have stayed constant even with fluctuating outside temps.

Answer:	Yes, it can be changed from left to right. Basically turn the main part of the unit upside down and switch the drain and plug from top to bottom. The name plaque can be removed and installed right side up. Quite simple design.
Question:	The top of the filter housing on mine only connects on the two front tabs. The back of the housing just sits on top of filter. Is this correct
Answer:	I don't mean to say the same thing over again, Patrick said the same thing I'm going to say, but a new pad is all you will need in this unit. I'm also a hvac technican and April air 600ms are our humidifier of choice. I've seen some people who have such bad water the pad gets clogged mid winter, and I've also seen people who have bad water and have been using the same pad for years. rule of thumb to get the most out of your unit is to change the pad every year. You could get away with longer but why would you when you can get replacement pads for cheap at home depot. To install you will need 2 6" 90's, 6" flex duct, 1" zip screws, 2 wire, 3/4 inch pvc with fittings and glue, small piece of 1/2" vinyl tubing (optional), and a pair of tin snips. I would suggest hiring a professional unless you're an avid do it yourself type of person, but it's defiantly something a average homeowner COULD do with enough time and YouTube videos. As far as the solenoid, it almost never goes bad, like Patrick said they usually last around 10 years. I've seen some go bad in as little as 2 but those are 1 in 100 and factory defected. I hope this helps someone down the line.

Answer:	Yes it only releases water to a certain level. Has a spring loaded cap that dispenses as needed. There is a wicking filter that has to be replaced occasionally. It has a humidity control that you set for your comfort level.

Answer:	Holds one bottle full which is 2-1/2 gallons. Unless it is really cold out, one bottle lasts 24 hours. Best is to plan filling it up first thing in the morning and that will last 24 hours. When it is mild out (75 ° in KC today) one bottle will last 2 days.

Answer:	I live in the desert so on "Low" I would have to fill it twice a day, on "High" I would have to fill it 3 times a day.

Answer:	Sort of hard to say - since it's subjective. I keep mine outside my bedroom door - on the first speed - and it doesn't bother me at all. Sort of just a low fan sound - about the same as the heat kicking on and off. I don't notice it at all. However, all of the other speeds, in my opinion, are very loud. It goes up to 5 - and that sounds like a 747 idling. I guess if you had it in some remote location and wanted to crank it up, the higher speeds would work. I live in a 1200 sq ft townhome and, set at 45, it keep the upstairs (where it is) at about 45% and the downstairs at about 35%. Perfect for me. I'm really happy with it. No more shocking all the pets with static electricity!

Question:	Does the uv light need to be on constantly? i see you have an option to use it or have it off
Answer:	Because it is an evaporative humidifier, the air from the top will be cooler than the room air by a degree or two. It should not affect the temperature of the room unless it is very small.
Question:	Does it cause white dust on furniture
Answer:	No, never any over-humidification. On rainy days, mine never comes on. Depending on outside temps, my humidity levels are running between 38% and 44%.
Question:	Does this humidifier have an air or water filter
Answer:	We live in Southwest Colorado. Our house in the winter is about 23% humidity. When we use our wood burning stove to heat it drops even lower. I have put two of these units in our space which is about 1,600 SF. With both of them on high, we can raise the humidity up to 30% when the wood burning stove is off. With it on, the high 20's. However and it's a big however, on high the noise is loud and you would not want to be in the space, so we only keep it on high if we are out of the house or overnight outside the bedroom. We have one upstairs in the loft and it's okay to keep on medium when you are downstairs. When I am in the same room as the unit, then I prefer low, which does not do very much, but it's better then nothing. Low is quit enough to use in a room you are sleeping in if it's not close and I am a very light sleeper. In our basement which stays more humid and where we use a gas stove only to heat, it is doable to bring up the humidity to 45% if run on high/medium when not in the space. TIP! When sleeping in the same room as the unit, noise occurs when the unit releases air and water "drubs, drubs", into the base (especially in the beginning when the the furniture, carpets, etc. are absorbing the moisture. It make take a bit of time for that to occur and then you may see a spike up, so give it a week to see what happens. Also if you have the windows open, which I suggest you do for air quality at least a couple of hours a day then that will alter humidity as well) . This sound kept me up all night as it happened every 20 minutes or so. The SOLUTION is to fill the base almost to the top, but not quite, so that it does not spill when replacing the tank and then empty the rest of the water out of the tanks and replace. Answer:	I"ve had one of these for 20+ years. Hard water where I live. So I began simply soaking my filters in hot water in my kitchen sink once per week. That does take some of the hardness from the water out of the filters. That trick allows me to use my filters almost a good 2 months. Once they become too 'hard', they just do not filter the water as they should. Soaking does help, vs buying filters monthly.

Warm mist mode heats the water before emitting it into the aіr. Cool mist mode does not heat the water first. It pushes it out with a fan and ultrasоnіc vіbratіons. This keeps the aіr at room temperature and can even cool it down a little.

When the room is cold, there are benefits to the warm-mist mode. Since the cool mist mode works with cool aіr being pushed out, it can cool down the room. The warm mist setting, on the other hand, emits warm aіr. This will heat the room, making it a better choice for cold environments.

As you start the humidifier, an AUTO mode will be on by default. Auto mode allows you to avoid the manual setting of the humidity level as the device will anаlyze the aіr cоmposition (like the current temperature and humidity index) and adjust the moisture output according to these results.

STEADY HUMIDITY LEVEL

Hit the HUMIDITY button on the sensor panel or remote controller to set the optimal humidity level. You are allowed to choose between 30% to 85%. This humidity index will be maintained throughout the day, even when deviatіons in the aіr structure will occur. The smart HuPro PRO-771 humidifier will do the adjustment stuff automatically to keep the desired humidity level for you and your family even when you are at work.

MIST OUTPUT SPEED & MODE

Change the mist output speeds by pressing and holding the corresponding button on the sensor or controller. You can switch between three mist power modes. If you want to reducе hаrmful aіr partіcles and іncrease moіsture sаturation, then you should switch the Warm Mist mode on. There is a button you can use to get this feature on. As you click on it, please wait for about 15-20 minutes to let warm droplets pump into the aіr. The maximum mist temperature is 140F. Hit the same button to switch this option off and come back to cold mist.

Double 360° Swivel Adjustable Nozzle

The 360° swivel adjustable nozzle allows the mist to be dispersed in any direction, hence allowing you to manage the distribution of moisture in the room. The HuPro 771 humidifier also features an easy-to-use touch control panel to set the preferred amount of mist.

The double nozzle provides you the ultimate control of the mist flow - allowing you to disperse the mist in 2 directions (even opposite) that suit you best.

Finally, you can steam in two different directions.

Answer:	Yes. There is a button to the right of the humidifier dail that allows you to toggle the light on and off.
Question:	How easy is it to clean the tank
Answer:	1) Fill the water tank half full. Add in 1 teaspoon of undiluted distilled white vinegar. Attach the tank cap and shake for 15 seconds. 2) Place the tank onto the base. The vinegar solution will enter the water reservoir to loosen mineral buildup. Set still for 15-20 minutes. 3) Uncap the tank cap and drain the solution. Wipe the atomizer with a soft cloth to remove loosened mineral deposits. 4) Rinse both the water reservoir and water tank until the smell of vinegar is gone. 5) Do this every week to avoid mold.

Answer:	Make sure it’s cold out. No open windows bc then would be pointless. Hit the top left humidistat button to select then power and let run on highest mist until it reaches that number. And a green check ✅ will appear and keep off until it needs to come on again. Also make sure there is water in it.
Question:	If I cut off power to it while it's running then reconnect power supply, will it resume running with the previous settings

SMART HUMIDITY CONTROL SYSTEM

1. AUTO MODE

Touch the POWER symbol on the device. It will begin to work in the AUTO mode. Device will detect the current humidity level and balance it according to the current air temperature.

2. CONSTANT HUMIDITY LEVEL

Touch the HUMIDITY symbol to set the desired humidity level. You may select the humidity from 30% to 75%.

3. MIST OUTPUT SPEED

Slide between MIN and MAX to select the comfortable mist output speed. Slide from left to right, the display will show 1 to 5. The speed will change accordingly.

ADVANTAGES OF THE TOP FILLING CONSTRUCTION

BOTTOM FILLING MODELS:

To refill the tank of a bottom filling humidifier, you have to remove the water tank and take off the cap at the bottom.
