Answer: Would depend on the size and how much you apply to the meat, but at least 4, normally a 6 oz bag would season two to three.

Answer: You're going to receive as many answers as if you asked, "Fat side up or down on a pork butt". I inject regular beef broth in a cross-hatch pattern the night before the cook and cover it with plastic wrap (on a platter) and put it in the fridge. I liberally coat the brisket after I take it out of the fridge just before putting it on the smoker. I smoke at 225* until the internal temp hits 203 or until the temp probe goes in like butter. I then wrap in either foil or butcher paper and let it rest in a cooler with towels for a couple of hours. It's a great rub - you'll love it!

Answer: I'm a Little Confused as You are depicting Pork Rub and Asking about Beef Rubs? I think the 11.5 Oz Jar will season 20-30 Lbs or More of the Meat it was intended for! I usually Dry Brine first with Kosher Salt, Garlic Powder, and Onion Powder, Put it in a ZipLock Bag and Refrigerate for 24 or More Hrs! Then Put the Rub on 5-6 Hrs before Smokingfatties! Question: is this blend purely salt and pepper
Answer: Yes. It's an old recipe that uses coarse ground salt and pepper for a bolder flavor. Thanks for your interest.
Question: Why does the container not look full
Answer: It's a great question as I too was surprised when I first saw the bottles. The co-packer that made the blend for me used a stock bottle that they use for all of their spice blends. Salt and pepper are more dense that spices like parsley flakes, onion, etc. so 24 oz takes up less space. Next time, we'll add more to fill up the bottle. The existing bottles do have 24 oz of rub which goes a long way on briskets, shoulders, and ribs. Thanks!
