This is one amazing steak. It’s simple to prepare and you get maximum flavor in a short period of time. Flank steak is a lean cut, so be careful you don’t overcook it; medium-rare is ideal. Piercing the steak with a fork before marinating it is key to getting all of the rich, tangy, sweet flavors of the marinade throughout the meat.

Honey Soy Flank Steak Recipe
Combine the Soy Balsamic Sauce, oil, honey, vinegar, salt, and chili powder in a bowl and whisk until well mixed. Place the flank steak in a large, shallow dish and pierce it all over with a fork. Pour the marinade over the steak and turn the steak to coat evenly. Cover and marinate at room temperature for 1 hour.

This recipe is very dear to my heart, as it was my first attempt to use ingredients that didn’t normally go together, but made sense to me. In Asian cooking, vinegar is often used to cut saltiness from soy sauce or other ingredients. For me, balsamic vinegar has the perfect mix of sweetness, acidity, and body to combine with the brown sugar and soy sauce here.

Makes 1 cup.
Soy Balsamic Sauce Recipe
In a small bowl, stir together the cornstarch and water until the cornstarch dissolves and the mixture is the consistency of heavy cream, adding more cornstarch if the mixture is too thin.
Combine the brown sugar, vinegar, and soy sauce in a small saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Stir the cornstarch mixture briefly to recombine, then stir it into the soy-vinegar mixture and simmer over low heat for about 3 minutes, until the sauce thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon.

Some people categorize cinnamon rolls as dessert, but I’ve only ever known them as a special breakfast treat. There’s nothing like a warm freshly baked cinnamon roll right out of the oven with gooey sweet potato cream cheese icing drizzled on top. If you’ve never made cinnamon rolls, you’ll love how fun and easy these are to make. My favorite part is rolling the sweet potato dough around the pecan and cinnamon filling.
FILLING
½ cup brown sugar, coconut sugar, or a mix of the two
½ tablespoon ground cinnamon
¾ cup toasted pecans (see Note on page 164)
⅓ cup vegan butter
SWEET POTATO CREAM CHEESE FROSTING
½ cup vegan cream cheese
½ cup confectioners’ sugar
¼ cup mashed sweet potato (from ¼ baked medium sweet potato)
½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
RECIPE
1. In a small saucepan, warm the soy milk and vegan butter over medium heat until the vegan butter has melted. Do not boil it. Remove from the heat and stir in the mashed sweet potato.
2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, granulated sugar, yeast, and salt. Pour the liquid ingredients into the dry and use a wooden spoon to combine. Once it gets too difficult to stir, use your hands to combine the ingredients.
3. Flour a clean work surface and transfer the dough onto the prepared work space. Knead it until you’ve got a smooth dough ball. Lightly oil a large bowl. Place the dough ball in it, cover with plastic wrap or a kitchen towel, and let it rise for 1 hour. The dough should double in size.
4. Make the filling: In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon and set aside. Chop the pecans into small pieces and set aside. In a small saucepan, melt the vegan butter and set aside.
5. Once the dough has doubled in size, preheat the oven to 375°F.
6. Press the air out of the dough, then transfer it back onto your floured work space. Roll the dough until it is about ¼ inch thick. You should end up with a roughly rectangular oval, about 12 × 16 inches.
7. Brush the dough with the melted butter, sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mix, and then top with the chopped pecans. Fold the short side of the dough over and roll tightly until you have a log. Carefully cut the log into twelve 1-inch slices. Grease a large skillet or a 10 × 10-inch baking dish and place the rolls in it cut-side down. Bake for 25 minutes, or until they’ve expanded and turned slightly golden on the top.
8. Meanwhile, make the frosting: Place all the ingredients in a food processor or standing mixer with the whisk attachment on high and blend until creamy.

Answer: | Thanks for reaching out! That is a great question! Real Salt is both a rock salt and a sea salt. It is mined from a deposit left from an ancient sea. So we mine it out of the ground making it a rock salt, but because the deposit is from an ancient sea it is also a sea salt. |

Answer: | Yes you can within a + or - 0.05 lbs. It will require a scale to put in the right amount of meat. Then some slight adjustments to achieve a firm pattie, filled to the edges of the press. I have made 5+ pounds of patties without having to readjust the press. The circumference of the pattie will always be the same but with variable thickness depending on the ounces you put in. When I next make them, I check the adjustment but usually it hasn't changed during washing and storage. The pattie paper is well worth a few dollars. I love my burger express, hope you will too. |

Answer: | Potato chips are difficult to sell online, as they arrive to us at about 100 days from expiration. They are not designed to be stored for months. We assemble and ship the cases usually within a week of receipt, but by the time they are shipped they are often at about 2-3 months on average. The good news is that they are often good for months after the "best by", however we do not ship anything expired or near expiration. Our average shipment is about 300 cases, and that takes us about a month to sell. Right now, as of Mar 31, most of our exp. dates are July 2017. We just sent a new shipment days ago. |

Answer: | I have experience in Neti pots but no personal experience using Redmond Salts in Neti pots. However, from my research, here's what I have determined. Redmond Sea Salt is non-iodized and chemical free, which is what you want for nasal usage. Redmond has sold a "Neti Pot Sea Salt" which is a powdered form of their original salts, however Amazon does not have current inventory. The regular Sea Salts are more granular and tend to leave a blackish/reddish residue behind when dissolved in water due to some trace minerals. If it were me, I would find no problem using this in my Neti Pot, making sure I pour out the last bit of water and minerals before pouring into my nose. I would also consider making more of a fine powder in my food processor or grinder which might make dissolvability more clean. |
