Ingredients:

  • Bone Suckin’ Seasoning & Rub, 3 oz.
  • Spareribs,5 lbs.,3 racks

Instructions:

For Dry Ribs:

  1. Coat both sides of ribs evenly. Cover and marinate 4 to 8 hours in refrigerator.
  2. Cook in covered dish in oven at 300˚ for 3 hours. Uncover, coat top of ribs with additional rub and let cook for 1 more hour.
  3. For WET Ribs: During last hour coat with favorite flavor of Bone Suckin' Sauce.
  4. On GRILL: Same as above, but wrap in foil for first 3 hours and open foil during last hour.

Answer: This stuff will work on EVERYTHING and ANYTHING. And yes, I have used it on brisket but, not smoked low and slow, but rather oven baked slow and low. It can be a tiny bit overpowering so, first time, go lightly!!

Answer: I can add to RAM's reply, it is a Gluten Free rub and contains No Preservatives or MSG and has a smoky and savory flavor profile inspired by traditional barbecue flavors.

Answer: After tasting it I think it would be excellent for pork rinds and I'll be trying that when I get the next butcher delivery.
Question: Can you use this to put in butter for stuffing
Answer: You could if you like that flavor profile, but I think it would be better in butter as a baseting the bird if your smoking it. Check out Sam the cooking guy on YouTube on how he did his bird. I'm doing a butter and black garlic for basting my birth even I smoked it. Black garlic is easy to make just takes forever. It's a must try if you never have tasted it.
Question: Based on the ingredients, it sound as though it is a "hot, spicy" rub? True
Answer: I wouldn't call it hot, but definitely spicy. I like to make my own rub, including a fair amount of brown sugar (like most rubs), but bought a bottle of this at Sam's Club (who doesn't sell it anymore, it seems) just so that I'd have a backup for times when I might run out of my own, but might be short on time to whip up a new batch. This rub has no sugar and no flour, both of which would weaken the flavor. When I first started using this, I missed the sweetness of my own rub (though you could add your own sugar, I didn't), but the flavor grew on me. Just a light sprinkling adds a good amount of flavor to whatever you use it on. Use more if you like spicier.

Answer: Sorry, didn't even know they had a chicken seasoning. I have been using the Bone Sucking Sauce seasoning they carry at the NC Food Lion for everything. It's my go-to seasoning. After years of using my standard favorite combo, this seasoning is the first one that managed to usurp them. I am 64, so that's saying something! Thank you, I will have to look for their chicken seasoning.

Ingredients:

  • Bone Suckin’ Seasoning & Rub, 3 oz.
  • Spareribs,5 lbs.,3 racks

Instructions:

For Dry Ribs:

  1. Coat both sides of ribs evenly. Cover and marinate 4 to 8 hours in refrigerator.
  2. Cook in covered dish in oven at 300˚ for 3 hours. Uncover, coat top of ribs with additional rub and let cook for 1 more hour.
  3. For WET Ribs: During last hour coat with favorite flavor of Bone Suckin' Sauce.
  4. On GRILL: Same as above, but wrap in foil for first 3 hours and open foil during last hour.

  • Rack of Lamb, approximately 2 lbs.

Instructions

  1. Score back of rack in crisscross pattern, using sharp knife.
  2. Optional* Cover rack of lamb with honey and fresh garlic.
