Question: | Are these flours irradiated? I contacted the company but got unclear response. Thanks |
Answer: | The FDA requires that irradiated foods bear the international symbol for irradiation. Look for the Radura symbol along with the statement “Treated with radiation” or “Treated by irradiation” on the food label. Bulk foods, such as fruits and vegetables, are required to be individually labeled or to have a label next to the sale container. The FDA does not require that individual ingredients in multi-ingredient foods (e.g., spices) be labeled. |

Gluten free, but you’d never know it!
Cup4Cup’s story began in 2010 at Thomas Keller’s lauded restaurant, The French Laundry. It was here that Chefs developed a gluten-free Cornet of Salmon Tartare in response to diners who didn’t want to miss out on this menu highlight. The gluten-free cornet tasted just like the original recipe. This culinary creation was a turning point.
The result of the kitchen experiment yielded Cup4Cup—the 1:1 gluten-free flour that eliminated complicated conversions and delivered premium taste, texture and performance. Just as its name suggests, Cup4Cup replaces traditional all-purpose flour or whole wheat flour in any recipe, cup-for-cup and gram-for-gram.
Cup4Cup also provides easy-to-use baking mixes that deliver the same consistency and texture of regular flour. Customers can utilize our library of sweet and savory recipes developed by chefs for the growing gluten-free community, their friends and families.

User questions & answers
Question: | Is this product completely free of GMOs |
Answer: | Yeast bread with Gluten Free Flour is very tricky. There is not enough elasticity to capture the "bubbles" for rising. Be sure to look for a recipe for Challah bread that is gluten free. It will be much more dense than with wheat flour but the flavor will be good. |
Question: | Does anyone know the list of ingredients? Particularly concerned what kind of sugar they use |
Answer: | We use this in our Cheesecake and Carrot Cake along with Gluten free scones, and Biscotti. We find this flour work very well for these application. Not tried it for Chiffon. |
Question: | I was wondering if this flour behaves like bisquick? I want to make the famous zucchini quiche in a pan that my mom used to make. Would it work |
Answer: | This is the best! Gluten free flour on the market! Measures like regular flour. I’ve tried so many, this is hands down the best! I’m gluten intolerant, and use it for everything! People who are not GF, cannot tell a difference 🙌🏻 |
Question: | What do you add to this to make the batter? Just water? Eggs |
Answer: | This flour is designed for quick breads and not recommended for use in yeast recipes. If you are looking to bake yeast breads or cinnamon rolls you will need our Gluten Free All Purpose Flour. |
