Answer: The salmon is from Scotland, but I believe the smoking, production and packaging is probably in Mass. Years ago, I used to work near their original location and would occasionally stop in for a chat with the owner, great guy and a true Scot. In my opinion, Spence makes the very best smoked salmon I ever had outside of Scotland, but I could be a tad biased... thank me later.

Answer: I don't have the packaging but looking on Amazon I see no mention of farming. To my knowledge Sockeye Salmon is not farmed, always wild caught. Virtually all farmed salmon is Atlantic Salmon. Farming of Salmon is not considered sustainable, but something of an ecological mess. Google or Wikipedia can provide details. My daughter works for the Alaska State Fisheries Department and I will check with her on Sockeye. I'm sure they are wild caught.
