12 best beef rib roast
A beef rib roast, also commonly referred to as prime rib, is a classic and flavorful cut of beef known for its tenderness and rich taste. It is typically considered a premium and celebratory cut of meat. Here is some information about beef rib roast:
Cut of Meat: Beef rib roast is taken from the rib section of the cow, specifically from the upper ribs. This region is close to the front of the animal, and it contains some of the most tender and well-marbled meat.
Prime Rib: The term "prime rib" originally referred to the highest grade of beef, but it has come to represent this particular cut of meat. Prime rib is often associated with special occasions and holiday feasts.
Bone-In vs. Boneless: Beef rib roasts are available bone-in or boneless. The bone-in version is often preferred by many chefs and meat enthusiasts because it can enhance the flavor and juiciness of the meat during cooking. Boneless rib roasts are easier to carve but may not have quite the same depth of flavor.
Marbling: One of the distinguishing features of beef rib roast is the marbling, which refers to the intramuscular fat within the meat. This marbling contributes to the roast's tenderness and provides a rich, beefy flavor.
Seasoning: Beef rib roast is typically seasoned with a blend of salt, pepper, and various herbs and spices to enhance its flavor. Some people also use garlic and other seasonings to create a flavorful crust on the outer surface.
Cooking Methods: The most common cooking method for beef rib roast is roasting. It is slow-cooked in the oven to ensure even cooking and to achieve the desired level of doneness. The internal temperature of the roast is often used as a guide for determining when it is done.
Doneness Levels: Beef rib roast can be cooked to various levels of doneness, ranging from rare to well-done. The choice of doneness is a matter of personal preference. Medium-rare is a popular choice, as it allows the meat to remain juicy and tender.
Serving: Once cooked to the desired doneness, beef rib roast is typically carved into thick slices and served with accompaniments such as horseradish sauce, au jus (natural juices), and various side dishes like mashed potatoes and vegetables.
Special Occasions: Beef rib roast is often served on special occasions, including holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving, as well as for celebratory dinners and gatherings.
Grading: The quality of beef rib roast can vary based on the grade of beef, with prime being the highest quality, followed by choice and select. Prime rib is known for its exceptional tenderness and flavor due to the high marbling content.
Beef rib roast is a luxurious and flavorful cut of beef that is prized for its tenderness and taste. It's a favorite choice for festive meals and gatherings, often enjoyed with family and friends due to its impressive appearance and delicious flavor.

If It Didn't exist in 1850, It Ain't In Here"
The genesis of Miners Mix occurred back in 2003 during a year-long sabbatical in Australia with our two young children. Our family drove coast to coast all over that wonderful nation, and we even made it to Tasmania. Being native southern Californians, my wife and I are both addicted to Mexican food, a cuisine lacking in Australia where the few “tortilas” that can be found are always kept in the frozen foods section, and the first ingredient in the single salsa brand available there happens to be sugar. Out of desperation, I began to make my own refried beans and taught myself to make corn tortillas by hand. I also began tinkering with my own Mexican chorizo seasoning. Upon our return to California, our friends demanded that we start selling all the seasonings and rubs we had developed over the years.
Each blend is lovingly crafted with over 45 years of smoking and grilling experience behind it.
Miners Mix blends are an outgrowth of over 45 years of tending charcoal grills and smokers in searing desert heat as well as in snow and sleet.
Great food is a balance of salt and spices combined with the natural flavors of what you’re eating. Seasonings are supposed to complement the flavor of that to which they’re applied and should not cover up the natural flavor, nor become the primary flavor of what’s on the plate. After all, one eats foods for the flavor of the meats and vegetables - not the seasoning.
Clean Pure Ingredients that you can actually pronounce. Nothing in these jars is over 3 syllables.
Miners Mix is a result of dissatisfaction with commercial seasoning blends that tend to be loaded with salt and little else beyond MSG, preservatives and artificial flavors. We have no idea how to blend flavors using free-flowing agents, flavor enhancers, preservatives, or artificial anything, and so Miners Mix contains none of those.
All recipes are ours. We do not buy someone else's recipe and merely put our labels on the jar.
Unlike some other companies that sell rubs and seasoning blends, we choose not to buy recipe formulations from commercial packers who merely put the purchaser's brand name on their jars.
Fully 99% of all who taste Miners Mix roll their eyes and remark “OMG! What did you put on this?!”
Thanks so much for your confidence and faith in purchasing our products. All of us associated with Miners Mix take a great deal of pride in everything we do and derive great satisfaction in seeing the pleasure we bring to folks through good foods and great seasonings.

Question: | When ordering cold items mike meat does the shopper place in a cooler to deliver |
Answer: | The instructions are on the jar. I believe you preheat to 500 deg, cook 7 minutes per pound, do not open the oven. After that leave in the oven for 2 hours. We have done this many times and it comes out great. DO NOT OPEN THE OVEN FOR ANY REASON!!!! If you want it more rare shorten the two hours may 15 minutes. Enjoy |

User questions & answers
Question: | how thick are the boneless short ribs |
Answer: | I assume what you want to know what those numbers (85% and 80/20) represent ground beef ( in the US at least) "according to a formula, or a recepe, lean ground beef is 90 % red muscle beef and 10 % beef fat mixed and ground, what the designation" "85%" is just telling you 85% red muscle beef, and leaving off the written out designated 15% fat, the 80/20 is just another "shorthand" way of saying percentages of muscle and fat. What you really want to know is how it cooks!! Less fat "the dryer" it will be when cooked to internal temp 165° F, and to "me" if that's a broiled hamburger I want 80% / 20%, the fat content makes it "juicy and flavorful"! A 90% ground beef meatloaf is heavy and dry, you have to add fat and/or milk to the mixture before cooking!! I hope this helps🤗 |
Question: | What does "step 1" mean |
Answer: | What is your queartion? |

Question: | how can I get boneless chuck roast cut up into chunks for stew on a home delivery order |
