Food Should Have Food in It.
When did frozen food stop having food as an ingredient? Food should make up the majority of what you’re eating – stuff like antibiotic-free meat, vegetables, spices and whole grains.
Our mission is to inspire people to care about where food comes from and how it is produced, by making Real Food that tastes delicious. Our eggs come from a farm where chickens are cage-free. Our beef and pork come from the best ranchers in the country.
When you choose EVOL frozen foods, you will get actual food, not a science experiment.
If it was up to us, we’d freeze everything
Freezing used to be a way to miraculously preserve perishable foods. It still is, but somewhere along the way, frozen food got a bad name.
We think freezing is still pretty amazing, so we’re making it cool again by freezing fresh simple ingredients in order for busy people to eat better food whenever they want.
Good is EVOL
Bringing down the broken food system is as simple as heating up a frozen burrito. Or a bowl. Or one of the other things we make.

User questions & answers
Question: | Is this real chicken or what, thank you |
Answer: | No, all Gardein products are plant based products. It's not chicken, but it's pretty good. Some unsuspecting people might not even realize it's not meat. |
Question: | How many bags do you get for this price? One bag in the store is $4.99. Is this price for a case |
Answer: | I usually purchase 2 bags via the Amazon Fresh website. Purchasing this product via my local grocery store cost more |
Question: | Is this the only wheat free gardein food |
Answer: | To the best of my knowledge, there are 4 Gardein porducts that are gluten-free: The Chick'n Scallopini, the Garden Veggie Burgers, the Chipotle Black Bean Burgers, and the Ultimate Beefless Ground. Now, you asked about wheat-free, not gluten-free. I believe that a product that does not have gluten could not contain wheat by definition. Speaking of definitions, I believe that the FDA definition of gluten-free is a product that contains less than 20 parts per million or less of gluten. I believe that is a small enough amount in a product to not activate allergies, celiac, etc. I'm sure that most products labeled gluten-free do not contain any gluten at all--zero. Hope that helps!!! |
Question: | No info on how to cook this before buying. Can you give the prep instructions |
Answer: | Use it like a chicken cutlet..make chicken marsala..bread it Sadie make a cutlet you can add some 🍅 sauce and cheese ( vegan) and bake Chiken Parma San You can slice it and make a stir fry chicken and Brocolli Anything you'd use a chicken breast but remember it's already cooked so it's a fast meal easy Don't just head it up Get creative. It's easy.chiken and Brocolli and mushrooms in a lemon wine sauce It works out very well. 😁😋🍽 Good luck |

Mandarin Stir-fry with Bird’s Eye Broccoli
Serves: 4-6 | Prep time: 10 min
Cooking time: 15 min | Total time: 25 min
Remove sauce packet from 1 package Mandarin Orange Crispy Chick’n and place packet in a bowl of hot water for 3 minutes to defrost. Empty into a bowl and stir in 1 tsp fresh grated ginger and ¼ tsp red pepper flakes. Set aside.
Preheat 2 Tbsp oil in a non stick frying pan over medium heat. Add frozen chick’n and saute, turning frequently, until golden and crispy, about 6 to 8 minutes. Remove to a plate.
In same frying pan, over medium heat, saute red pepper and broccoli for 1 minute. Add water, cover and steam until peppers are just soft and broccoli is bright green, about 2 minutes. Remove lid and stir in chick’n and sauce. Cook, stirring constantly, until warmed through and well coated in sauce.
Garnish with 1 Tbsp sesame seeds. Serve with steamed rice.
Chef Tip: This stir fry works well with all types of vegetables. Try thinly sliced carrot, bok choy and snow peas.

Quick and Easy Meatless Lasagna
Serves 8 | Prep time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 30 min | Total time: 40 minutes
Preheat oven to 375º F. In a skillet, heat up 2 cups of the marinara sauce until simmering, then add 1 bag frozen Gardein beefless round. Add 1 additional cup of sauce and let simmer for about 3 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a medium size bowl, add 24 oz cottage cheese (or vegan option), 1 egg (or vegan option), 1 tsp oregano, 1 tsp basil, and about 1/4 cup of mozzarella (or vegan option) and stir together.
In a 13×9 pan, spread a thin layer of the sauce mix on the bottom of the pan, then lay 4 oven-ready noodles across, then a layer of cottage cheese mix, and sauce mix. Repeat this twice. On the final layer just add the remaining sauce mix (there wont be too much left, just a thin layer). Then top with the remaining layer of cheese.
Cover with foil and cook in the oven for about 25 minutes. Finish 5-10 minutes uncovered.

Our Story
In 1987, when Rachel and Andy Berliner were expecting their first child, they went looking for ready-made, vegetarian meals at their local natural foods store. When they couldn't find any that satisfied their taste buds, the couple decided to create their own. Their first dish was a pot pie created from a family recipe, and Amy's Kitchen was born.
Our Purpose
We cook delicious meals and snacks that are convenient, easy to prepare and accessible to everyone. We use organic and non-GMO ingredients and are committed to caring for our people and reducing waste. Our goal is to do things the right way: Right by our customers, right by our farmers and employees, and right by the planet.
Why Organic
"Organic" is better for the planet-and we think that it just plain tastes better. We have been supporting organic farmers long before it became popular, and together we helped build the organic food industry. In fact, when the USDA decided to create official standards for the "organic" label, they asked us for guidance.
How It's Made
Even though you're heating up our meals in your home, we want you to feel like you're a guest in ours. Everything that comes from Amy's Kitchen is made from scratch, from our soups and sauces to our pizzas and burritos. Using organic ingredients and time-tested recipes, our chefs cook like you would--only with bigger pots.
