Below we have some basic care for your plant: Direct sunlight can burn the leaves of most plants unless the plant has been acclimated slowly to that type of light. It is best to place the plant in a spot that receives some morning sun but light afternoon shade. Ideal places are a window with a sheer curtain, a patio with a screen, or other similar areas. It is recommended to water the plant once every 7 to 10 days and adjust for your environment as needed. The soil takes longer to dry in cooler temperatures and dries out quicker in warmer temperatures. Be sure to water the plant thoroughly enough that water begins to drain from the drainage hole. Always check to see if the soil is dry about 2 inches deep with your finger before watering. Do not let the plant sit in any standing water for an extended amount of time. It is possible that while the top part of the soil is drying out that the bottom can still retain moisture. This can lead to accidental overwatering. Answer:	I've frequently placed Lucky Bamboo in my fish tanks. The plants seem to thrive! I've only recently had to give up having these beautiful plants in my current tank as my koi becomes obsessed with rooting them up and chasing them (floating) around the tank. The Bamboo may not be specifically made to work in a tank, but I personally feel it is the ideal setting, constant water for the plants, safe for the fish, and they look like an under water forest. There's no reason not to put them in a tank. I was even told the Bamboo helps the fish, cleans the water and brings more oxygen. Not sure if it's true, but I've put these plants in my tanks for the last few years and never had a bad reaction with my fish (other than them playing with them.). Answer:	Actually I purchased mine not to long ago & the leaves are doing nicely & very healthy. I have rocks underneath & 2 inches of water in a glass dish. They prefer indirect but light Here's a couple of links for them. For fertilizer I have miracle grow & mix it with water (which is good for all plants) I will be putting min on windowsill during the day. Right now I have mine by sliding glass door or move the window treatment for bright but not direct light.Hope this helps. Answer:	It is just 4 stalks in water. Very tight fit. 1 of my stalks died. I removed it and put in tiny pebbles to hold the other 3 in place. 2 of the other stalks now have baby shoots coming out of them. So it grows if you water it and it has room to expand.

Answer:	Fill the pot or container with fresh, distilled or bottled water. If you use tap water, allow it to sit overnight so the chlorine can evaporate before using it on the plant. Change the water once a week, and ensure that there is always at least 1 inch of water in the container or vase.

Answer:	OK, at the risk of sounding stupid, do I take the plastic and the rubber bands off as well?
Question:	What is the Dimension of stalks
Answer:	The width of each stalk is about 1/2 inch, the length of the stalks when it arrives I'm not sure, I didn't measure them when I first got the plant, but I would guess about 7 inches. I've had my plant for over two years now and the highest stalk is 14 inches, it's still going strong. Mine came with 10 stalks, but I'm not sure if it varies.
