So I went and bought an Edge explore (hated it because of the limitations and bought an 830) the touchscreen instantly became a MUST have no more fiddling around with buttons to get menus to work. You just touch the screen. Every button the 530 has this has but it adds the touchscreen which if you get a garmin with a touchscreen you will see how it becomes a mandatory feature almost instantly.

I stopped using this module for low power devices mostly because the bright LEDs on the module defeat the purpose of me trying to make something super low power. However if your micro controller can be powered off of a lithium ion directly you can keep it in sleep mode then whenever you wake it up it can activate this module by triggering the key low to give you 5V 2.4A only when you need it.

Answer:	If you will use a battery backup, you connect it in the B+ B-; the out + & - go to the device.

Answer:	I am waiting for mine; but, I am not sure you were given the correct answer... and at the least, you were given an incomplete answer. As reported by other users, not personally tested yet, it outputs 5 volts. These batteries charge to 4.2 volts fresh off the hotplate. I would think it could only output 5v if it uses a buck-up circuit and this is likely considering a dead batt is depleted at 2.xVolts. If you have put this to use, I would appreciate a verification.

Answer:	The TP4056 chip on the board says in the datasheet a maximum of 8 volts can be applied to the chip. I don't have it on hand to check, but you can add the voltage drop of any components in series with the power input and T4056's Vcc. Example, if a reverse polarity protection diode with a drop of 1 volt was before the chip, the maximum goes up to 9 volts because after the diode, there is now only a 8 volt potential difference.

Answer:	A solar controller with +5v output is well advised, or alternately a 12v panel w/ 12v controller and then use a car 12v 1amp to USB converter.

Answer:	Yes it will just take 50x the time to charge as a single 18650 since your charging current / amps (charge speed) is not increased, but your battery capacity (mAh) is when wired in parallel. There will be a longer sustained load to the charging circuit so heat may indeed be a consideration, but it should be ok.

Answer:	Since the voltage in a parallel circuit is the same you could theoretically charge as many 18650 batteries as you want. The trouble is going to come on the mAh side, an average 18650 is 1800mAh so paralleling 4 together would give you 7.2 Ah of battery to charge off a 1 Ah charge circuit you'd be looking at 7 or more hours to charge them.
