Answer:	You can record from a CD player to your 890. If you are making a copy using an interrupted source(mixing songs from several CDs)..you can establish your own pause time between songs..although the track nos. on the new copy may be off . If your trying to make more copies..you need to put the original copy in a CD player...not recommended for quality...... For multiple copies, I use the CopyStars DVD/CD recorder using my original 890 copy...the quality is excellent.

Answer:	I also have no problem playing Region 2 DVDs and switching between Region 1 and Region 2---I just insert the disc (Blu-ray or otherwise) and it comes up to the main menu. You can try clicking the BLUE button on the remote for Region 2 and see if that works. Also, make sure the Quick Start menu is set to OFF in the setup. You can also try their troubleshooting suggestions--press HOME button twice to reload disc. (Update: I'm having issues playing my latest UK Blu-Ray DVD.)

Answer:	Plugging it in with hdmi cable turned to power on for me. I have it hooked up to my PS3 and had to use the usb plug in order to get the images to show up on my tv. I plugged the usb where the remote connects and had to run an hdmi from ps3 to box and one from the box to the tv. I am using it to plug in my sound bar. Because my tv doesn't have an optical cord connection. I hope this helps.
