Answer:	the box says without the stand the width is 2.01" and I measured it and that seams to be right. The stand is 6" wide. The picture is GREAT and clear. Sound is not all that great as far as loudness but the sound is crisp and not static. I hook it up to my stereo in my RV and the sound is perfect. The best part is the 12 volt hardly draws from the battery. I used it for 8 hours straight to see how my marine battery would last using it. its still had enough battery left to keep going. Answer:	They do abrade a little bit. The harder you scrub the more fibers will come off. I would try a green 3M scouring pad with a powdered cleaner like Bon Ami or Comet.
